Late nights have gotten much sweeter in Hicksville, where a new Instagram-ready dessert shop has opened with multitiered chocolate fountains, crepes, loaded waffles and more.
Crepetown is the latest trendy shop to open from Aziz Ahmad and his youngest sibling, Zahor Ahmad. The three Ahmad siblings, Aziz, Zahor and Zafar, also own the neighboring Nashville chicken spot, Slappin Chick and the nearby burger joint Flippin Buns. They are "big fans of desserts, especially crepes and shakes," Zahor Ahmad said.

So that meant creating a shop that has flowing chocolate fountains, dedicated menus for cheesecakes and fried Oreos, plus "sushi crepes" stuffed with fillings like strawberry shortcake ($15.99) and Oreo brownie. Waffle sticks and mini pancakes can be elaborately flavored with Fruity Pebbles cereal ($14.99) and Dubai chocolate ($15.99). Strawberry, pineapple and banana sticks can be freshly dunked in white or dark chocolate. Crepetown also has the viral Dubai chocolate bar ($9.99). Their pancakes and crepes are made with batter that's "made from scratch," Zahor Ahmad said.
The drinks menu is just as creative, with cereal-flavored shakes ($11.99) and non-alcoholic fruity mojitos ($8.99).
It took about a year to prepare for the opening of the 800-square-foot space, which has seating for up to 24 guests. The decorative wooden slats on the walls and track lighting give the takeout-forward spot a modern ambiance.
