A Huntington man died in a hospital several days after a two-car crash at a Greenlawn intersection, Suffolk police said.

Michael Izzo, 42, was critically injured about 3:19 a.m. on Sunday when the 2009 Honda CRV he was driving east on Little Plains Road collided with a 2022 Toyota Tundra heading north on Broadway Avenue, Suffolk police said in a news release.

Izzo was transported in critical condition to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore, according to the release. Police announced Izzo's death on Wednesday.

The driver of the Toyota pickup truck was not injured, the release said. Police impounded the two vehicles for safety checks.

Detectives ask anyone with information regarding the fatal crash to call the Major Case Unit at 631-852-6553.
