BOYS BASKETBALL
ALEX DAVIS, Bridgehampton
Congratulations to Alex Davis, who broke Maurice Manning’s long-standing record as the program’s all-time leading scorer at 1,831 points. With a 17-point game against Smithtown Christian, Davis now has 1,835.
MICHAEL CASCIONE, Smithtown West
The Smithtown West star scored 31 points, including the buzzer-beating layup off his steal to beat Smithtown East and clinch the Suffolk League III title.
WILL DONAGHY, Huntington
Huntington scored a season-high 83 points against Newfield, with Donaghy contributing 31 points, seven assists and six rebounds.
TOBY FOSTER, East Hampton
With 24 points against Hauppauge and 21 points against Comsewogue, Foster led East Hampton to two tightly contested wins.
DYLAN HICKMAN, Uniondale
His 27-point game lifted Uniondale past Farmingdale, two days after he tied teammate Jayden Oden in scoring with 17 points to beat Syosset.
KING MOORE, Copiague
With 21 points, five rebounds and three assists against Commack, Moore lifted Copiague to its 14th win of the season. Credit also goes to Aiden Boswell, who hit two free throws with 9.5 seconds left to secure the win.
KYAN OLSEN, Southold
Olsen dominated with 30 points to beat St. Pius V in overtime. He added 21 points in a win over Shelter Island.
SEAN O’NEIL, Valley Stream Central
He needed 50 points to reach 1,000 for his career heading into Saturday, and he ended up scoring 51 in a win against Cold Spring Harbor. The senior guard is the first in program history to reach the milestone.
MICAL SAINT JEAN and ETHAN SAINSBURY, Baldwin
The dynamic duo cruised to a win over Fannie Lou, with Saint Jean tying a career high with 35 points and Sainsbury adding a career-high 14 assists, plus seven rebounds and four steals.
RYAN REID and TRISTAN THOMAS, Holy Trinity
Reid scored a game-high 25 points against St. Dominic, and Thomas (13 points) made the 74-73 win possible by hitting a three-pointer as time expired to win the game for the Titans. Holy Trinity had 29 fourth-quarter points in the comeback.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
SANDRA CLARKE and KATE SWEET, Westhampton
Clarke and Sweet had 18 and 17 points, respectively, to beat a strong Hauppauge team.
TALEAH COPPOLA, Floyd
Her 16 points, five assists, four rebounds and three steals lifted Floyd past a fellow 15-win team in Bay Shore. She added 17 points against Riverhead.
AVA DiMARCO, Northport
Northport remains undefeated, with DiMarco’s 17 points, eight assists and four steals against West Babylon helping that stay true. She added 16 points, five assists, four rebounds and four steals against a 13-win Smithtown West.
MAEVE DOWNING, New Hyde Park
Her 21 points lifted the Gladiators past Calhoun. New Hyde Park has won six of its last eight, with Downing averaging 19.6 points in that span.
MORGAN FIEDLER, Babylon
Fiedler leads a red-hot Babylon team, which has won 10 straight games. She had 19 points and six steals against Smithtown Christian and 27 points against Mattituck.
MAREN KOSH, Harborfields
Her 20-point double-double with 10 rebounds led Harborfields to a win over Hauppauge. She added 13 points versus Comsewogue and a game-high 15 points against Eastport-South Manor.
CATHERINE PERRUCCI, Hicksville
Hicksville has won three consecutive games, with Perrucci serving as the catalyst in a win over Herricks with 27 points, four rebounds and two assists.
ALYSSA POLONIA, Baldwin
With 20 points and eight rebounds, Polonia helped Baldwin beat a 13-win Massapequa team.
BROOKE SIMMONS, Glen Cove
Her 28-point game lifted Glen Cove past Hewlett. It’s Simmons’ fifth game with at least 20 points.
PIA SMALDONE, East Islip
Smaldone, an eighth-grader, had 17 points against Smithtown East. She also scored 18 of her 23 points in the second half against Half Hollow Hills East, shooting 10-for-11 from the free-throw line.
