People on the Move: Long Island promotions, new jobs

Dr. Austin John Cabone, of Glen Head, has been hired as a podiatrist at Dr. John J. Hickey in Levittown. Carbone was a third-year podiatric medicine and surgery resident at NYU Langone Hospital-Long Island in Mineola.

Trevor Wallace, of Valley Stream, has been hired as an engineer 1 in the water supply division of D&B Engineers and Architects in Woodbury. Wallace was an engineer/drafter at Howard I. Shapiro & Associates in Lynbrook.

Emily Riha, of Huntington Station, has been hired as an environmental scientist 1 in the civil engineering division at D&B Engineers and Architects in Woodbury. Riha was a conservation education presenter at Walt Disney's Animal Kingdom in Orlando, Florida.

Tyler Maslak, of Sayville, has been hired as engineer 1 in the wastewater division of D&B Engineers and Architects in Woodbury. Maslak is a recent graduate of Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN.

Ava Gross, of Sayville, has been hired as an engineer 1 in the water supply division of D&B Engineers and Architects in Woodbury. Gross was a research assistant at Stony Brook University chemical Engineering department in Stony Brook.

Michael Flores, of Mount Sinai, has been hired as an engineer 1 in the wastewater division of D&B Engineers and Architects in Woodbury. Flores is a recent graduate of Manhattan University in the Bronx.

Jillian Bayoneto, of Westbury, has been hired as an accountant at D&B Engineers and Architects in Woodbury. Bayoneto was a tax associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Manhattan.

Dr. Lakshmi Nair, of Great Neck, has been hired as a plastic surgeon at Greenberg Cosmetic Surgery and Dermatology in Woodbury. Nair was a resident at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas.

Allison Filippone, of Commack, has been hired as assistant prncipal at Beach Street Middle School in West Islip. Filippone was dean of students and summer school assistant principal since 2025 at Sewanhaka High School in Floral Park.

Franklin Mendez, of Elmont, has been hired as assistant vice president/specialty deposits banking ops specialist at Kearny Bank, headquartered in Fairfield, New Jersey, working throughout Long Island market. Mendez was a business relationship supervisor at ConnectOne working throughout Nassau County.

Thomas Kokinias, of Head of Harbor, has been hired as senior vice president/director of specialty deposits banking at Kearny Bank, headquartered in Fairfield, New Jersey, working throughout Long Island market. Kokinias was managing director private banking at Bankwell in Garden City.

Maria D'Ornellas, of Levittown, has been hired as vice president/specialty deposits banking at Kearny Bank, headquartered in Fairfield, New Jersey, working throughout Long Island market. D'Ornellas was vice president, client service manager at ConnectOne in Melville.

Kimberly Musial, of East Setauket, has been hired as director of fine and performing arts in the Amityville Union Free School District. Musial was the director of fine and performing arts in the Huntington Union Free School District.

Daniel Grassian, of Brooklyn, has been hired as provost and executive vice president at New York Institute of Technology in Old Westbury. Grassian was senior vice provost for academic affairs at Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly) in San Luis Obispo, California. 

Nicola DeVine, of Farmingdale, has been hired as a marketing manager at Cona Elder Law in Melville. DeVine was a marketing and business development specialist at Kaufman Dolowich in Woodbury.

Matthias Rzymski, of Huntington, a staff associate at Nawrocki Smith in Hauppauge, has been promoted to senior associate in the audit division.

Elizabeth Mojica, of Levittown, a staff associate at Nawrocki Smith in Hauppauge, has been promoted to senior associate in the internal audit division.

Layla Rolleri, of Hauppauge, a staff associate at Nawrocki Smith in Hauppauge, has been promoted to senior associate in the internal audit division.

Diane Castonguay, of Massapequa, has been hired as assistant superintendent for business and operations in the Mineola Public Schools. Castonquay was deputy superintendent and assistant superintendent for business in the East Williston Union Free School District.

Melissa Fusco, of East Meadow, a seventh grade mathematics teacher leader and principal of the  Extended School Year program in the MIneola Middle School in Mineola, has been promoted to assistant principal of the school. 

Brendan Lynch, of Setauket, has been hired as assistant principal of P.J. Gelinas Middle School in Setauket. Lynch was assistant principal at Carrie P. Weber Middle School in Port Washington.

Debra Winter, of Quogue, has been hired as director of compliance and special projects for Three Village Central School District. Winter was superintendent of Springs Union Free School District in East Hampton.

Dr. Deepa Malineni, of Roslyn Heights, has been hired as a primary care physician at NY Health in North Massapequa. Malineni was a clinician at Premier Internal Medicine Associates in  Richmond Hill, Queens.

Catherine P. Boyle, of Garden City Park, senior managing director, not-for-profit banking at Webster Bank in Jericho, has been elected to the board of directors of the United Way of Long Island in Deer Park.

Kevin S. Buchel, of Old Bethpage, president and chief operating officer at NAPCO Security Technologies, Inc.  in Amityville, has been promoted to chief executive and president.

Fred Falcones, of Bay Shore, has been hired as assistant principal of Ward Melville High School in East Setauket. Falcones was dean of students at Farmingdale High School in Farmingdale.

Tim Cipolla, of Oyster Bay, has been hired as assistant principal at Elwood-John H. Glenn High School in East Northport. Cipolla was social studies chairperson and intern principal at EPIC High School North in South Richmond Hill, Queens.

Olivia Perrone, of Merrick, has been hired as a staff engineer at H2M architects + engineers in Manhattan. Perrone is a recent graduate of the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia.

Dawn Mihalek, of Sayville, director of service planning and dispatch operations at Star Group in Woodbury, has been elected to the board of directors of the United Way of Long Island in Deer Park.

Cristina Gulotta, of Massapequa, vice president of marketing at Cona Elder Law in Melville, has been promoted to chief operating officer and head of marketing.

Michael Wilson, of Sayville, has been hired as vice president of food and beverage at The Bristal Assisted Living in Ronkonkoma. Wilson was regional culinary director at Aramark in Sparkill, New York.

Arielle Schor, of Roslyn, has been hired as a staff engineer at H2M architects + engineers in Melville. Schor is a recent graduate of Cornell University.
