The rumors of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce having a wedding celebration at Madison Square Garden next month grew louder this week thanks to New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani.
The mayor briefly mentioned the hotly anticipated wedding ceremony, which is reportedly taking place at the Garden on July 3, while talking about the city's preparedness for big events.
"We are used to big events, and we are incredibly excited for [the World Cup]," Mamdani said during a news briefing Monday about the Knicks parade. "We know it coincides with the Knicks’ Finals run. We know it coincides with July 4, America 250, Taylor Swift’s wedding — all happening at the same time — and we are so excited to welcome the world here."
That led to a natural follow-up question: Is the mayor invited? Will he attend?
"No and no," Mamdani said. "I wish them a lovely wedding. I’ll listen to [Swift's 2020 song] ‘Only the Young’ at home on my own."
Apparently, the wedding itself might happen before the big MSG event. At least that's what TMZ is saying, citing sources. The outlet also says a big wedding stage is being constructed at a Pennsylvania facility for the Garden bash.
