The Billy Joel Channel has returned to SiriusXM, the singer announced on his Instagram account, just in time to celebrate the 50th anniversary of his classic album “Turnstiles.”
Channel 105, available via satellite and on the SiriusXM app, is holding a monthlong run through May 7. (The Rock & Roll Hall of Famer will celebrate his 77th birthday on May 9.)
Joel fans will hear a lineup of more than a dozen shows, some featuring celebrity guests and DJs. Actor Lorraine Bracco ("The Sopranos"), musicians Garth Brooks, Don Henley and others share their favorite Joel tracks. In “Stories from the Stage,” all eight members of the Hicksville-raised music icon's current band speak with Rolling Stone contributor David Fricke. A “Turnstiles Fantasy Concert” recreates the album track by track, using live performances culled from various shows. There will also be a rebroadcast of the final concert of Joel’s 10-year residency at Madison Square Garden, originally held on July 25, 2024.
The channel’s complete schedule is available at siriusxm.com.
