Hallelujah! After being shut down since May 4, when a fire broke out in an electrical room of Broadway's Eugene O'Neill Theatre, "The Book of Mormon" is scheduled to resume performances on May 21, producers announced late Thursday.

In addition, the box office reopened at 10 a.m. Friday. In honor of "Mormon's" 15th anniversary, the box office was offering a pair of tickets at $15 apiece for select performances throughout the summer to the first 50 people who showed up.

"ATG Entertainment, who are the owners and operators of the O’Neill, and 'The Book of Mormon' are extremely grateful to the FDNY and the Department of Buildings for their help and cooperation throughout the repair efforts," a spokesperson for the musical said in a statement. They added that the repair work inside the theater "is being completed by an extraordinary team that has made tremendous progress."

ATG and producers said they would keep audiences updated if there's a change in plans.

The May 4 fire began in the spotlight room and caused substantial damage to the theater, New York Fire Department Assistant Chief David Simms said at the time. The cause of the fire is still being investigated. Everyone was safely evacuated from the building.

"The Book of Mormon," an irreverent musical about two young Mormon missionaries who are sent to Uganda to convert the inhabitants of an impoverished village, ranks as the 10th longest-running show in Broadway history. Since opening in 2011, it has played 5,620 performances (and 28 previews). It also has won nine Tony Awards, including best musical.

In March, producers announced that performances between June 9 and 14 would feature special appearances by some of the show's original cast members, including Josh Gad, Andrew Rannells and Nikki M. James as well as the show's creators, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, of "South Park" fame.
