Apricot Lane, a women's boutique, opens in Bellmore

There's a new boutique on the block in Bellmore. Apricot Lane, a women's clothing store, opened this month, marking the company's second Long Island franchise location, following Smithtown.
Apricot Lane has over 100 stores across the United States, but no two locations are identical. Each boutique is independently and locally owned, with merchandise curated for each community.
Regina Piscazzi, a single mother of three who lives in Merrick, built a career in finance over the past 29 years. After stumbling across Apricot Lane in Sarasota, Florida, three years ago, she became inspired and connected with the company's CEO to open her own shop.
Owning a business was "always a dream" of hers and "it was just a matter of time to make the investment," she says.
Piscazzi worked closely with the company’s leadership team to develop a growth plan, refined to her own demographic.
As soon as the lease was signed, there was a project plan in place and she began cultivating her shop’s inventory with her daughters, who were "instrumental in the buying process," she says.
The college students will be active stylists in the store when they come home during school breaks, and plan to work remotely throughout the school year to help their mom when needed. Piscazzi's daughter Gianna put some of the skills she learned as an interior design major to good use throughout the summer, while her daughter Lauren, although an exercise science major, found helping launch the business to be "a great learning experience."
Piscazzi hopes to offer a shopping experience that speaks to women of different ages and styles.
The assortment she and her daughters have curated for the shop's debut collection blends current fashion with statement pieces by popular brands Boys Lie, Spanx, Dear John, enewton and Quay. Prices range from $15 to $160.
The shop plans to host private shopping events and pop-ups with local businesses.
