Estia’s Little Kitchen has been sold after 27 years in Sag Harbor.

The eatery, known for its American comfort food with a southwestern twist, had been on the market for years, according to owner Colin Ambrose. Its building has been sold to Malibu-based health-focused brand Sun Life Organics, Ambrose said.

"I bought the restaurant in 1998. I ran it to the best of my ability for 27 years, knowing that when I reached Social Security age, I would put it up for sale," Ambrose said. "The business was offered as a component of the real estate deal, and they chose not to make that purchase."

Organic juice and smoothie chain Sun Life Organics did not respond to Newsday’s request for comment. The brand has two outposts in New York City. An opening date for the Sag Harbor location has not yet been announced.

Ambrose confirmed the closure  in a social media post on Saturday. April 18. The last day of business was Sunday.

"The memories made at the counter and in the garden will last a lifetime," the post reads. "Our hearts are full of gratitude as we say goodbye and look ahead to time with grandkids and open waters."

The post got more than 800 comments.
