Metros on Main pizzeria closes after 65-year-run on Main Street in Sayville

A Sayville restaurant has closed after 65 years of business.
Metros on Main, at 60 W. Main St., served its last customer on Sunday, according to a social media post over the weekend. The restaurant, formerly known as Sayville Pizza, served Italian American fare.
"We wanted to warmly thank everyone and the town of Sayville for all their support," the post said.
The restaurant did not state a reason for the closure. A request for comment was not immediately returned.
