Police arrested a 30-year-old woman early Sunday morning for alleged drunken driving after she drove into a Central Islip home.
At around 2:10 a.m., Estefany DeJesus, of Central Islip, crashed her BMW SUV into a house on Nostrand Avenue, Suffolk police said. No one inside the home was injured.
DeJesus was driving south on Birchgrove Drive when she lost control of the car, according to police. She was taken to South Shore University Hospital for an evaluation after police determined she was intoxicated.
The fire marshals and town building inspector evaluated damage to the house.
Police charged DeJesus with driving while intoxicated. She pleaded not guilty at her arraignment Sunday and was released "with non-monetary conditions," according to online court records.
DeJesus was represented by the Suffolk County Legal Aid Society. Attempts to reach the society were unsuccessful Sunday.
