18-year-old stabbed to death in Hempstead

A teen is dead after he was stabbed in the torso in Hempstead on Sunday night, Nassau County police said.

Around 9:25 p.m., officers responding to a call arrived at outside of a multi-family residence on Fulton Avenue and found an 18-year-old male that had sustained “puncture wounds to the torso,” police said.

The teen, who was not yet identified, was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police said an investigation is ongoing and did not confirm a motive or if a suspect is at large.
