Suffolk police arrested and charged a Manorville man on Friday for allegedly inflicting six figures worth of damage on a local golf course, the department said.

Joseph Manzella, 24, was arrested at a Shirley residence Friday following an investigation into the incident, Suffolk police said in a news release.

On Jan. 13, 2025, and Oct. 11, 2025, Manzella drove a vehicle on the property of Pine Hills Golf and Country Club in Manorville, causing $416,500 worth of damage, Suffolk police said.

Police arrested and charged Manzella with two counts of second-degree criminal mischief, the release said. He will be held overnight at the department’s Seventh Precinct in Shirley ahead of his Saturday arraignment at First District Court in Central Islip.

Pine Hills Golf and Country Club did not immediately return a telephone message seeking comment Friday evening.
