Median pay for public school teachers surpassed $120,000 in both Long Island counties in the 2024-25 academic year, a Newsday analysis found.
Teachers' median pay grew by 1.5% in Nassau and 0.9% in Suffolk from the 2023-24 school year. Inflation, by comparison, trended well above 2% during the same time frame.
