7 adults, 2 children displaced after fire damages Hempstead house

Seven adults and two children were displaced after a fire broke out in a multiple-dwelling Hempstead home early Sunday morning, authorities said.
The Hempstead Fire Department responded to the fire on Webb Avenue at 1:15 a.m., the Nassau County Fire Marshal's Office said in a news release.
The fire was brought under control in about 45 minutes, with 75 firefighters on hand. Firefighters from the Uniondale, Freeport, Baldwin, Rockville Centre, Garden City, Roosevelt and West Hempstead fire departments provided assistance.
There were no reported injuries, according to the release.
The fire marshal's office and the Nassau police arson/bomb squad are investigating the cause.
