Pedestrian seriously injured in crash on Jerusalem Avenue in Uniondale

A man was in critical condition after he was struck by a vehicle while crossing a street in Uniondale on Thursday night, Nassau County police said.
Around 10:15 p.m., a 39-year-old man was walking north across Jerusalem Avenue near Edgemere Avenue when a westbound 2025 Nissan Pathfinder struck him.
The pedestrian was taken to a hospital, where he was in critical condition, police said.
The driver of the Nissan, a 45-year-old man, remained at the scene.
