BACKGROUND

  • Gallub Pravato, 58, of Farmingdale, a registered Republican, is a first-time candidate for Nassau County Legislature. She is running on the Republican and Conservative party lines. 
  • She has worked as a career and employment counselor since 2017 at The Workforce Partnership, a jobs center run by the Town of Oyster Bay. She has been a volunteer fundraiser for the UJA-Federation of New York and the Schechter School of Long Island.
  • Gallub Pravato has a bachelor’s degree in marketing and management from Yeshiva University and gained paralegal training at Long Island University.

ISSUES

  • Gallub Pravato said she is focused on enhancing public safety and ensuring police departments are fully supported.
  • She said she will oppose "any increase in property or sales taxes, instead calling for more responsible and restrained government spending."
  • She said she would partner with law enforcement and community leaders to fight antisemitism.
