BACKGROUND
- Stevens, 54, of Fishers Island is a registered Democrat running on the Democratic and Working Families party lines in the general election.
- She became a year-round resident of Fishers Island in 2020.
- Stevens began working as a special projects coordinator in 2023 for the Henry L. Ferguson Museum which preserves 400 acres of open space and the history of Fishers Island. She was appointed its executive director this past June.
- She was elected twice to the Fishers Island Waste Management District where she serves as chair.
- Stevens graduated from Yale University in 1993 with an undergraduate degree with a double major in architecture and literature and received a Master of Architecture from the Yale School of Architecture in 2001.
