Suffolk County Democratic Chair Shaffer said, “Tonight’s one of those nights that just didn’t go our way.

“Obviously we wanted to be on the winning side tonight, but we’re up against the atmosphere in Albany and Washington and that has hurt us as a brand in Suffolk County.”

Dave Calone has conceded to Ed Romaine in the Suffolk County executive race. 

In #Brookhaven town races, Republican Dan Panico has wide lead over Clayman, and GOP incumbents are leading. Republican Karen Dunne Kesnig has big lead in race to succeed Panico in the 6th Council District.
