BACKGROUND

• Nowick, 77, a registered Republican, is running on the Republican and Conservative party lines for her fourth term. Nowick was elected to the Town Board in 2014.
• She previously served as a Suffolk County Legislator.
• Nowick has a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from the Technical University of Denmark and an MBA from the Rotterdam School of Management at Erasmus University in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

ISSUES

• Nowick said she wants to help small businesses in town flourish through focusing on walkable downtown areas which can be safe for pedestrians and would, in turn, promote commerce.
• Nowick said she wants to focus on revitalizing downtown areas across town.
• Nowick said a key issue she wants to focus on if reelected is prioritizing the improvement of town parks and beaches.
