BACKGROUND
- Giangregorio, 60, of Merrick, is a registered Republican and is running on the Republican and Conservative party lines in the general election. He is seeking a third term.
- He has more than 30 years’ experience in the finance industry and is a vice president at JPMorgan Chase in the Corporate & Investment Bank division. He is a member of the Knights of Columbus, Sons and Daughters of Italy and the Merrick and Wantagh Kiwanis clubs.
- Giangregorio said he is a “community advocate” and has lobbied in Washington, D.C., and Albany to secure increased funding for autism research, family services and insurance reforms.
ISSUES
- Giangregorio said he has voted to hire more police officers and to build a new police training village.
- He said he has voted to freeze property taxes and is focused on reducing government waste and implementing cost-saving strategies. He said his “fiscal leadership has contributed to balanced budgets and direct tax relief for local homeowners.”
- Giangregorio said he is committed to supporting small businesses and improving the quality of life for families. He said he has secured funding for schools and first responders and to build playgrounds for children of all abilities.
