BACKGROUND

  • Martinez, 56, a registered Democrat, is seeking reelection on the Democratic and Conservative party lines. He is unopposed. He was appointed to the board in 2008 and elected later that year. He said his priorities are advancing economic development projects in Copiague and Wyandanch and improving town infrastructure through its $100 million road repair plan.
