A homeless woman has been identified as the pedestrian struck and killed on Route 347 in Lake Grove on Monday night.

Elizabeth Jensen, 46, who police said was unhoused, was struck and killed about 10:15 p.m. on Route 347 at Moriches Road by a 2023 Honda HR-V being driven by a 19-year-old East Northport going east, Suffolk police said.

She was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Suffolk County Medical Examiner's Office, police said.

The driver of the Honda was not injured and remained at the scene; the vehicle was impounded for a routine safety check, police said.

No further details were provided by police.
