Motorcyclist killed in collision with pickup truck in East Northport, police say

A motorcyclist was killed Saturday afternoon after striking a pickup truck while attempting to make a turn in East Northport, Suffolk County police said.
The motorcyclist, who police did not identify pending notification of next of kin, was turning left to go west on Pulaski Road from Stony Hollow Road at about 2:22 p.m. when she struck a 2024 Toyota Tacoma going east on Pulaski, according to a news release. The motorcyclist was given first aid at the scene by East Northport Fire Department personnel and transported to Huntington Hospital, where police said she was pronounced dead.
The driver of the pickup, a 29-year-old Huntington Station man, was taken by Greenlawn Rescue to Huntington Hospital for treatment of minor injuries, according to the news release.
Both vehicles were impounded for a safety check and the investigation was ongoing. Second Squad detectives asked anyone who may have witnessed the crash to call 631-854-8252.
