Even if you're not running in the Jovia Long Island Marathon Festival this weekend you might want to familiarize yourself with the course, because there will be significant road closures on Sunday related to the races at Eisenhower Park.

Charles Lindbergh Boulevard, which is the entire loop of the half marathon and marathon, will be closed from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Both the half marathon and marathon start at 7:30 a.m. in East Meadow.

Stewart Avenue from Merchants Concourse / Endo Boulevard to Merrick Avenue will be closed from 6:45 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Merrick Avenue from Stewart Avenue to Hempstead Turnpike will be closed from 5 a.m. to 1 p.m. Park Boulevard from Hempstead Turnpike to Merrick Avenue will be closed from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Other closures include Meadowbrook State Parkway exits and entrances to and from Charles Lindbergh Boulevard — the Nassau Coliseum, Nassau Community College and Eisenhower Park exits — as well as the exit onto eastbound Stewart Avenue. Those closures will be in effect from 6 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.

Eisenhower Park's Park Boulevard will not allow traffic between 5 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., the festival website said.

Public parking in sections of the park will be permitted until 6:30 a.m.

The festival website said all road closures are ultimately decided by the Nassau County Police Department.

Motorists should anticipate that roads may be closed earlier, remain closed longer or reopen sooner than the times posted.
