Andrew Cuomo has found his Hamptons pad.

The former governor purchased a nine-bedroom, waterfront house in Remsenburg earlier this summer for $9.6 million, said Rich Azzopardi, a Cuomo spokesman who confirmed the sale but declined to comment on the price.

The home, on Moriches Bay, give Cuomo a permanent presence in Suffolk County after his loss in the New York City mayoral race to Zohran Mamdani and resignation as governor in 2021 following multiple allegations of sexual harassment. Cuomo has denied those allegations.

The move will allow Cuomo, 68, to spend more time with his brother Chris Cuomo and sister Madeline Cuomo, who also have homes in the Hamptons, Azzopardi said. He also will maintain an apartment in New York City.

Politico first reported on the sale earlier on Wednesday.

The estate includes four lots, and Cuomo plans to sell the empty parts of the property, Azzopardi said.

The four-acre estate's main house has nine-bedrooms and 9½ bathrooms. There's also a four-bedroom guest house on the property, according to listing information.

Other notable amenities include wood-burning fireplaces, a wine cellar and a five-car garage with hydraulic lifts — a perk for Cuomo, a fan of muscle cars, including the 1975 Corvette he once drove to a car show at Eisenhower Park.

Outside, the house has more than 200 feet of waterfront, a sandy beach, a saltwater pool and tennis courts, the listing said.

The home was listed for $11.9 million in August 2025 and lowered to $10.9 million in March, according to Zillow data.

The sale closed for $9.6 million in June, data from the listing shows. Lauren Spiegel, a Douglas Elliman Real Estate agent in Westhampton Beach, listed the property. Spiegel did not respond to a request for comment on Wednesday.

Cuomo's purchase was the most expensive in Remsenburg so far this year, according to data through August from OneKey MLS, the local multiple listing service.

The median price in the hamlet through August was $1.695 million, data showed. Prices tend to be higher in communities east of the Shinnecock Canal, such as Sagaponack and Water Mill, which are among the most expensive ZIP codes to buy a house in the United States.

Remsenburg is part of a cluster of communities, including Eastport, Speonk, Quogue, Quiogue, Westhampton and Westhampton Beach that offer lower prices and easier commutes to airports and Manhattan than places east of the canal, said Lawrence Citarelli, a real estate broker at First Hampton International Realty in Westhampton Beach.

Still, Cuomo will be among plenty of high-net worth individuals in Remsenburg, said Citarelli, who's lived in the hamlet for more than 25 years. He said buyers who choose Remsenburg are often looking for a quieter place away from the limelight of the pricier villages farther east.

"It's somewhat still undiscovered," said Citarelli, who recently developed the 20-home Estates at Remsenburg subdivision.

Cuomo is now co-chair of a joint venture between OKX, a cryptocurrency exchange, and Intercontinental Exchange, the parent company of the New York Stock Exchange.

On Tuesday, he was asked about his future aspirations to run for office in an interview with Bloomberg TV.

"Never say never," he said.
