New year, same trends.
The first three months of 2026 saw home prices rise again compared with the previous year. In February, the median sale price for a single-family home was $685,000 in Suffolk and $850,000 in Nassau, according to data from OneKey MLS.
Mortgage rates were on the rise last month as well, hitting their highest levels since September, Newsday reported, as experts suggested buyers shop around and adjust budgets.
