Meet the prospects the Mets received in their MLB trade deadline deals

Bruin Agbayani, INF

The Mets received Agbayani, 19, as part of the return for A.J. Minter. The son of former Mets outfielder Benny Agbayani was the Twins' sixth-round pick in 2025 out of St. Louis School in Honolulu. Agbayani, a lefty-hitting infielder, has a 263/.432/.316 slash line despite playing in just 15 minor-league games in the last two years. He has been on the IL since May 16 with a right shoulder strain and also missed time earlier this season with a right thumb strain.

Billy Amick, INF

Amick, 23, was part of the return for Minter. A second-round pick of the Twins in 2024 out of Tennessee, the corner infielder has a .251/.368/.463 slash line in 163 career minor-league games, including a .217/.338/.482 slash line with 23 home runs and 72 RBIs in 86 games with Double-A Wichita this season.

Gabe Davis, RHP

Davis, 22, was acquired from the White Sox in the deal for Huascar Brazoban. Davis was Chicago’s No. 18 prospect according to MLB Pipeline. A fifth-round pick last year, Davis has struggled with Double-A Birmingham. He is 0-5 with an 8.31 ERA in 10 Double-A starts, though he had a 2.63 ERA in eight starts with High-A Winston Salem to begin this season. His four-seamer reportedly averages around 96 mph and touched 100 mph, and he has a 25.5% strikeout rate this season.

Zach Franklin, RHP

Franklin, a 27-year-old reliever acquired in the Brazoban deal, had a 4.37 ERA with 60 strikeouts and 14 walks in 45 1/3 innings with Triple-A Charlotte this season. A 10th-round pick in 2023, Franklin averaged 93.8 mph on his fastball and had a 32.1% strikeout rate.

Luke Gabrysh, RHP

Gabrysh, 23, was acquired from the Phillies in the Brooks Raley deal. He appeared in 18 games (17 starts) this season with High-A Jersey Shore, pitching to a 3-8 record with a 5.14 ERA and 89 strikeouts in 68 1/3 innings.  He was drafted in the 15th round in 2024.

Gary Gill Hill, RHP

The 21-year-old Gill Hill, part of the Freddy Peralta deal, was a sixth-round pick of the Rays in 2022 out of JFK Catholic Prep in Somers, N.Y. The New Rochelle native has made 20 starts between High-A Bowling Green and Double-A Montgomery this season, going 7-3 with a 4.49 ERA, 23 walks and 87 strikeouts in 108 1/3 innings. Overall, Gill Hill is  19-20 with a 3.99 ERA, 99 walks and 338 strikeouts in 394 2/3 innings. He also was part of Great Britain's roster for the 2026 World Baseball Classic, going 1-1 with a 7.36 ERA, five strikeouts and two walks in 3 2/3 relief innings.

Émilien Pitre, INF

Pitre, 23, was one of the three prospects the Mets received in exchange for Peralta. A 2024 second-round pick of the Rays out of Kentucky, Pitre has primarily played second base in the minors. He has a .285/.392/.414 slash line in 227 career minor-league games, including a 308/.438/.447 slash line with 28 extra-base hits and 46 RBIs in 88 games this season between High-A Bowling Green and Double-A Montgomery.

Jefferson Rojas, INF

Rojas, 21, was the return for Clay Holmes and Tyrone Taylor. He  was the Cubs' No. 2 prospect and MLB Pipeline's 63rd overall prospect. The 21-year-old slashed .270/.339/.461 with 15 homers, 57 RBIs and 17 stolen bases in 91 games for Double-A Knoxville this season. The Dominican Republic native is set to be the organization’s top prospect – Jonah Tong, No. 75 in MLB Pipeline’s rankings, previously held that honor – and their second top-100 prospect. This season, Rojas has played third base (56 games), shortstop (26 games) and second base (two games).

Aidan Smith, OF

Smith, 22, was part of the return for Peralta. He was a fourth-round pick of the Seattle Mariners in 2023 out of Lovejoy high School in Lucas, Texas, but was traded to the Rays as part of the Randy Arozarena deal. He has a .246/.344/.416 slash line, 56 doubles, nine triples, 36 home runs, 160 RBIs and 104 stolen bases in 280 minor-league games. Smith has spent time with three different affiliates in the Rays' system this season, hitting .209/.281/.391 with 20 extra-base hits and 40 RBIs.

John Spikerman, OF

Spikerman, 23, came in the Raley deal. He batted .260 with four doubles, two triples, 26 runs, 26 walks, 18 stolen bases and a .419 OBP at High-A Jersey Shore. He is a switch-hitter but has only played in 30 High-A games this year because of two stints on the Injured List. In 111 career minor-league games in parts of three seasons, Spikerman has 55 stolen bases and a .376 OBP.  The Phillies drafted Spikerman in the third round in 2024.

Sammy Stafura, SS

Stafura, 21, was acquired from Pittsburgh for Luke Weaver. Stafura is the Pirates' No. 9 prospect, according to MLB Pipeline. Stafura, who was born in Cortlandt, New York, dazzled for High-A Greensboro with a .301/.365/.656 slash line, 19 homers, 51 RBIs and 16 stolen bases in 47 games.
