Baseball Hall of Famer Mariano Rivera, the former Yankees star closer who won five World Series titles with the team, will be making an appearance on Long Island Saturday.

Rivera will appear at the grand opening of Redefine Meals Selden on 293 Middle Country Road in Selden from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Redefine Meals is a company that specializes in ready-to-eat meals and has 27 other locations on Long Island. Selden will be the 28th.

Rivera will be at the grand opening to promote his Mo’s Heat hot sauces.

Fans can attend the event for a meet and greet and photo opportunity with Rivera. There will be Mo’s Heat hot sauce tastings, Redefine t-shirt giveaways, local vendors, and other events.

Redefine Meals said a photo with Rivera requires a purchase of a three-pack of Mo’s Heat hot sauce at the event. After the purchase, fans will receive a ticket for the photo opportunity with Rivera.

Rivera played 19 seasons with the Yankees and finished his career with a major league record 652 saves. He was a 13-time All-Star.
