Long Island college roundup: Hofstra rallies late to beat SBU in men's soccer

The Hofstra men’s soccer team scored in the 86th and 90th minutes to overcome host Stony Brook, 3-2, Saturday night in the CAA.
Daniel Burko netted the winner, off assists from Laurie Goddard and Thengill Orrason. It was Burko’s second goal of the game. Goddard scored the equalizer. Gino Cervoni made a save for Hofstra (9-4, 5-1). Ryan Farr and Jamie Orson scored for Stony Brook. Heidar Hermannsson made three saves for the Seawolves (4-4-4, 1-3-1).
Adelphi 2, Assumption 1: Gonzalo Gil and Ryan Holt both scored to lead host Adelphi in the Northeast-10. Rory Duggan had two assists and Andrea Farinella made four saves for the Panthers (4-3-2, 2-2).
Molloy 3, St. Thomas Aquinas 3: Danu Kinsella Bishop scored two goals for host Molloy in the ECC. Eduardo da Rosa Sostisso also scored. Wilmer Flores and Cesar Chavez both had assists. Callum Hunt made five saves for the Lions (1-4-5, 0-1-3).
WOMEN’S SOCCER
Molloy 1, Roberts Wesleyan 1: Olivia Ingentio scored for host Molloy in the ECC. Saraj Cavallo had an assist. Elyse Muñoz made five saves for the Lions (7-2-3, 2-0-2).
WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL
Molloy 3, Roberts Wesleyan 0: Isabella Rios had 10 kills and seven digs to lead Molloy, 25-18, 25-16, 25-22 in the ECC. Julia Zalta had 22 assists and Erin Stanley had nine kills for the Lions (11-5, 4-0).
FOOTBALL
Erie Community College 28, Nassau Community College 27: Elijah Outlaw threw for 306 yards and two touchdowns for visiting NCC. Antoine Blackman caught five passes for 127 yards and a touchdown. James Hannon made six tackles for the Lions (3-2).
SUNY Maritime 34, USMMA 14: Bubba Mustain completed four of eight passes for 89 yards and a touchdown and he rushed for 51 yards on 13 carries for USMMA (4-1, 2-1) in the NEWMAC.
