Giants' Abdul Carter criticizes teammate Jaxson Dart for introducing President Donald Trump at rally

Giants linebacker Abdul Carter criticized quarterback Jaxson Dart in a social media post on Saturday for appearing at a rally on Friday to introduce President Donald Trump.
Trump was appearing at a campaign rally for Republican Rep. Mike Lawler. Dart led the crowd at Rockland Community College in Suffern in a “Go Big Blue!” chant before welcoming Trump to the stage.
“Big Blue nation, it’s a pleasure to be here,” Dart told the crowd. “What an honor, what a privilege it is to be here and, without further ado, I’m grateful, I’m honored, I’m pleasured to introduce the 45th and 47th president of the United States of America, President Donald J. Trump.”
That prompted a critical response from Carter on X: “Thought this [expletive] was AI, what we doing, man.”
Carter later posted on X: “Me & JD6 are good! We spoke earlier as Men. Yall can keep yall narratives.’’
The Giants declined to comment. Dart did not issue any follow-up comments on being at the rally.
“Was it the setting up of an insurrection against America? The Epstein relationship & coverup?,” former Giants offensive tackle Jumbo Elliott wrote on X. “Maybe just being so damn corrupt is what cinched it for him. SMH. Pitiful.”
Former Giants kicker Lawrence Tynes was critical of Carter for criticizing Dart. “The locker room is a sacred place because it brings together everyone from all walks of life and beliefs for one common goal,” Tynes wrote. “Calling a teammate out publicly for his political views and to get attention is nasty work.” — Evan Barnes
