The Jets’ kicking carousel continues. They are releasing veteran Younghoe Koo one week after bringing him in and signing former Dolphins kicker Jason Sanders, according to a league source.

Sanders, who was cut this week by the Giants, and Cade York will now compete for the Jets’ kicking job.

A former first-team All-Pro, Sanders connected on 84.6% of his field-goal attempts (187-for-221) and 96.6% of his extra-point tries (259-for-268) in seven seasons with Miami. He converted 12 of 14 field-goal attempts from 50-plus yards in 2024. Sanders missed all of last season with a hip injury.

Koo had a rough day in Tuesday’s OTA, which was open to the media. He missed two field-goal attempts, from 45 and 53 yards. Koo was the second kicker the Jets cut this week. They released Lenny Krieg on Monday.
