There is but one party left as Super Bowl Sunday rolls along, and it takes place inside Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California, as the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots play each other in Super Bowl LX.
The celebs, and everyone else in attendance, have had their fun in the days leading up to the only remaining televised (or streamed) single-event program that can bring 100-plus million people together for a few hours. Now it's time for those who get paid to play football to do their thing — and for the commercials, the halftime show and the second-screen comments and reactions on social media.
It's also time for our Super Bowl Sunday blog, where we'll be posting updates throughout the day about all things Super Bowl.
Super Bowl fourth quarter
This is just the second time in Super Bowl history where no touchdowns were scored in the first quarters. The first was the Patriots' 13-3 win over the Rams in 2019.
And after publishing the sentence above, the Seahawks scored a touchdown. Repeat: the Seahawks scored a touchdown. Sam Darnold completed a 16-yard touchdown pass to a wide-open AJ Barner. Seattle leads, 19-0, with 13:24 left.
And here come the touchdowns now. The Patriots scored a touchdown when Drake Maye connected with Mack Hollins on a 35-yard pass. The Patriots trail, 19-7, with 12:27 left.
Jaxon Smith-Njigba cleared his concussion exam and has returned to the game with 11:43 left in the fourth quarter. He has three receptions for 24 yards in the game.
Darnold just missed a deep pass to Rashid Shaheed on third down, setting up another punt. That punt was downed at the Patriots' 4 with 10:40 left in the game. The Patriots were moving the ball well, picked up a pair of first downs and then Maye threw an interception to Seattle's Julian Love. Seattle leads, 19-7, with 8:37 left and has the ball at the Patriots' 40.
Jason Myers kicks his fifth field goal of the game -- a new Super Bowl record -- as Seattle takes a 22-7 lead with 5:35 left in the game.
First ruled what would have been a Super Bowl-tying record seventh sack, Uchenna Nwosu's 44-yard return for a touchdown was later changed to a interception return. Seattle leads, 29-7, with 4:27 left.
(Hey, remember with this game was 12-0 after three quarters with no touchdowns scored? We've had three so far in the fourth quarter, including a defensive score.)
Rhamondre Stevenson makes it the fourth touchdown of this fourth quarter, bringing the Patriots to within 29-13 with 2:21 left. That likely doesn't figure to make much of a difference for the Patriots' chances of winning, but it most certainly made a lot of folks happy. Who might those folks be? The ones who bet Stevenson for an anytime touchdown.
Speaking of prop bets, the Gatorade is yellow. Repeat. The Gatorade is yellow.
Oh man, our apologies to all those who bet the over of 45.5 points and/or a Kenneth Walker III anytime touchdown. His TD run on thrid-and-13 just before the two-minute warning was called back for holding. Talk about your emotional roller coasters right there. We hope your TVs are still mounted to the walls and those walls have no furniture sticking out of them now.
Let the confetti fly. Seattle wins Super Bowl LX, 29-13, over the Patriots. The under cashes, and the Seahawks cover.
Reminder: The score as 12-0 after three quarters.
"I know we just won the Super Bowl, and we could have been a little better of offense, but I don't care about that right now," Darnold said in his post-game interview with NBC's Melissa Stark.
Super Bowl shutout history
None.
Zero teams have scored zero points in the first 59 Super Bowls. (Update: Make that 60 Super Bowls.)
Super Bowl MVP
Seattle's Kenneth Walker III was voted the MVP of Super Bowl LX. Walker ran for 135 yards on 27 carries, with a long of 30 yards. He had a touchdown called back late in the fourth quarter on a holding penalty.
Upon further review: Super Bowl commercials
For once, could a handful of commercials from Sunday actually stand a decent chance of getting remembered past Wednesday? Memory's a funny thing, but if you care about a solo by Lady Gaga, Mike Tyson (eating an apple), and a pair of AI-generated robots, then why not? Hey, maybe even Thursday. Otherwise, Super Bowl LX's 80-plus commercials played it safe and dull, writes Newsday's Verne Gay. Read his take on the best and worst Super Bowl 2026 commercials.
Super Bowl third quarter
The Patriots will receive the second-half kickoff trailing 9-0. They went three and out to open the second half.
Seattle began their first possession of the second half on their 9-yard-line. The Seahawks drove 69 yards on 10 plays in 4:50, ending in Jason Myers' fourth field goal of the game. Seattle leads, 12-0, with 9:12 left.
Punt.
Punt.
Punt.
Seattle gets possession at its 21-yard-line with 3:38 left in the third quarter.
Jaxon Smith-Njigba has gone back to the locker room after being examined in the blue tent. And here comes another punt -- the 13th of this Super Bowl. For those scoring at home, the most total punts in a single Super Bowl is 22 when the Ravens and Giants each punted 11 times in Super Bowl XXXV.
The punt count stays at 13 after Drake Maye fumbled on a strip sack by Seahawks as they keep the shutout intact as the third quarter comes to an end. Seattle leads, 12-0.

Super Bowl second quarter
Patriots cornerback Christian Gonzalez made an outstanding defensive play, breaking up a deep pass from Sam Darnold to Rashid Shaheed. The ball was slightly under thrown, but Gonzalez made a great play to stop what likely would have been a touchdown reception. Seven plays later, the Seahawks set up and hit another field goal. Remember that play by Gonzalez. It could be a difference maker. Seattle leads, 6-0, with 11:16 left.
After another possession stalled, Seattle pinned the Patriots at their 3-yard-line with 4:58 play in the first half.
And we now pause for this commercial about football and ... food!
From Tom Rock:
- Seahawks getting 10 yards on these sacks. Not even giving Maye a chance to scramble closer to the line of scrimmage. The Dark Side is real.
- Vrabel is playing this game patiently waiting for Seattle offense to make a mistake. They refused to last possession when they ran on third-and-long and kicked the safe FG.
For those scoring at home, we are at 10 total possessions and 8 punts so far with 2:50 left in the half.
At the two-minute warning, Seattle leads, 6-0, and has the ball in Patriots territory. Seattle has outgained New England three times over in yardage, but it's still a one-possession game right now.
Catch or no catch? (It was ruled incomplete on the field and upheld on review.)
On third-and-13, Gonzalez made another great pass breakup and nearly had the interception with 16 seconds left. That forced a third field goal from Myers. Seattle leads, 9-0, with 11 seconds left.
The first half ends with a Patriots kneel-down as they trail, 9-0. But they get the ball to start the second half.
'Good Will Dunkin' commercial with Ben Affleck . . .
. . . And a whole bunch of sitcom stars from the 1980s and 1990s. As with many Super Bowl commercials over time, half the viewers like it and half don't. Which side are you on for this one?
Super Bowl first quarter
The Seahawks lost the coin toss (it was heads) and received the opening kickoff after the Patriots deferred. The Seahawks moved the ball into the red zone, then the Patriots' defense held strong to force a field goal. Seattle's Jason Myers hit the field goal for a 3-0 lead to open the game. Seattle leads, 3-0, 11:58 left.
On the Patriots' first possession, they crossed midfield but had to punt on fourth-and-9. Seattle leads, 3-0, 7:11 left.
Some early thoughts from @TomRock_Newsday, who is in Santa Clara for the game:
- Sam Darnold pretty fearless with forcing the ball into tight spaces. He will throw at least one pick today.
- It's windy here. That may have been a reason the Patriots didnot attempt a 61-yard FG on their first possession.
Two sacks so far, for those keeping track of such things for various reasons.
The first quarter comes to an end with Seattle up, 3-0.The Patriots will begin the second quarter with the ball on second-and-5 from their 37-yard-line.
"Much more creativity from the teams on defense than offense," Rock tweeted. "With two head coaches from the defensive side that's not a surprise."
Super Bowl flyover photos
The military flyover has become as much a part of the Super Bowl (and many other sporting events in America) as the game, the commercials and whoever is going to Disneyland.

Here come the quarterbacks
Rest easy, everyone. The quarterbacks have arrived at Levi's Stadium. Tommy DeVito, who likely won't see the field for the Patriots today, definitely brought his A-game swag to his arrival walk.

Mack Hollins arrives shoeless and in chains at the Super Bowl
Patriots receiver Mack Hollins is well known for not wearing shoes off the field, as part of a "grounding" practice influenced by Australian trainers. It is aimed to improve his mobility, strengthen his feet, and increase overall physical durability. Here he is arriving for Super Bowl 60.
Hollins also is known as much for what he wears above the location where most usually wear socks and shoes. His Super Bowl pregame outfit consisted of a mask, chains around his ankles and wrists and what resembles a prison outfit.
The jersey Hollins is carrying is a Mike Vrabel No. 48 jersey from Walsh Jesuit High School in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio.

Super Bowl halftime show and other performers
Bad Bunny, who won Album of the Year at the Grammy Awards last week, will perform at halftime. His performance is scheduled for 13 minutes, which fits in the 12-15 minute window for past performers. Bad Bunny's album, "Debí Tirar Más Fotos," was the first Spanish-language album to win the top award at the Grammys.

Watch part of Green Day's opening ceremony
Green Day performed part of one of their hits, “Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)” to a parade of former Super Bowl MVPs, including 49ers legens Steve Young, Joe Montana and Jerry Rice. Green Day then went into a medley of their other hits, including “Holiday,” “Boulevard of Broken Dreams” and “American Idiot.” Watch part of their performance here:
Watch Coco Jones perform “Lift Every Voice and Sing”
Coco Jones, 28, a singer-songwriter and actor, wore a white gown and was backed by a string octet as she performed “Lift Every Voice and Sing,” a song that has become known as the unofficial Black national anthem.
Written by James Weldon Johnson, the song has been performed at the Super Bowl each year since 2021, the first Super Bowl after the protests surrounding the killing of George Floyd, when Black Lives Matter sentiment, and the song, became especially prominent. -- AP

A $10 million polar bear?
Super Bowl XL commercials reportedly cost brands around $10 million for a 30-second spot. And since it feels like -2 degrees here on Long Island on Super Bowl Sunday, here's a look at a Pepsi Super Bowl spot involving their rival's often-used polar bear.
