Long Island's Stick Stars: Top boys and girls lacrosse performers this week

BOYS LACROSSE
Josh Berger, Roslyn
No. 5 Roslyn is Hofstra-bound after Berger’s four goals propelled the Bulldogs past No. 4 Long Beach, 9-8, in the Nassau Class B quarterfinals.
Aiden Cromwell, St. Dominic
The senior captain avenged last year’s heartbreaker in the state CHSAA Class A championship by scoring five goals and assisting two more in this year’s final, a 10-7 win over Farrell.
Jake Kunz, Farmingdale
Kunz set a new season high in points with his four goals and three assists to lift the No. 4 Dalers past No. 5 Oceanside in a Nassau A quarterfinal.

Alex Neuman and Joey Traversa, Bethpage
Neuman’s winning goal came with 57 seconds left in overtime, sending the No. 3 Golden Eagles past No. 6 MacArthur. Traversa made 13 saves, including a huge stop in OT, to secure the team’s Nassau B semifinal berth.
Devin Paccione, Wantagh
Long Island’s leader in points keeps adding more as Paccione’s goal and 11 assists lifted top-seeded Wantagh past No. 8 Island Trees in a Nassau C quarterfinal.
Henry Sarro, Sachem North
Sarro scored six goals and assisted two more against No. 7 Bay Shore in No. 2 North’s Suffolk A quarterfinal win.
Connor Sheerin, Manhasset
The second-seeded 'Set are back in the Nassau B semifinals after topping No. 7 Carey, aided by Sheerin’s five goals and one assist.
Landon Wernersbach, Bay Shore
Wernersbach’s first goal tied the score with 1:30 left in the fourth quarter and the second won it for the No. 7 Marauders in the second overtime against No. 10 Huntington in the Suffolk A playoffs.
GIRLS LACROSSE
Abigail Dieumegard, Islip
The fifth-seeded Buccaneers are semifinal-bound in Suffolk’s Class C after topping No. 4 Mount Sinai, with Dieumegard making 15 saves in the 10-7 win.
Natalie Insinga, Connetquot
Her fifth goal of the game with 2:24 left made the difference for No. 5 Connetquot against No. 4 Floyd, lifting the T-Birds to an 11-10 win in the Suffolk A quarterfinals.
Skye Korten, South Side
Korten’s three goals and three assists helped South Side look as good as its No. 1 seed would indicate, lifting the Cyclones past No. 4 North Shore in Nassau’s C semifinal round.
Emily Lopes and Tyler Reedy, Carle Place
Reed’s four goals and Lopes’ 10 saves helped the No. 3 Frogs best No. 2 Locust Valley, 8-6, in the Nassau D semifinals.
Ava McDonald, Huntington
McDonald starred defensively with six caused turnovers and five ground balls to help the No. 2 Blue Devils beat No. 7 Longwood in the Suffolk A quarterfinals.
Addison Ruland, Patchogue-Medford
Ruland had four goals and one assist to help the No. 9 Raiders earn a Suffolk A playoff win over No. 8 Commack, 10-9.
Jadyn Stadler, Syosset
Stadler ensured No. 3 Syosset will have a spot in the county final Thursday as her goal and five assists lifted her team past No. 2 Farmingdale in the Nassau A semifinals.
Lauren Valenti, Eastport-South Manor
Valenti had four goals and one assist — her best game of the season — to guide the No. 3 Sharks past No. 6 East Islip in the first round of Suffolk’s B playoffs.
