(Previous rankings in parentheses)
1. St. Anthony’s (1)
The Friars (12-4) wrapped up their season with a 13-12 win over Chaminade in the state CHSAA Class AAA championship game on May 13 for St. Anthony's seventh straight state title.
2. Chaminade (2)
Chaminade (13-5) finished its season after its loss to St. Anthony’s.
3. Garden City (3)
The Trojans remain among the top tier of Long Island lacrosse teams and didn’t skip a beat as they bested No. 5 Roslyn, 15-6, to reach Nassau’s Class B final yet again. Garden City (17-1) will face No. 2 Manhasset in the county final for the third straight year at 5:30 p.m. Monday at Hofstra.
4. Syosset (4)
Syosset (16-2) will look to lift Nassau’s Class A plaque for the first time since 2021. A 12-4 semifinal win over No. 4 Farmingdale made it possible. Syosset will face No. 2 Massapequa at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Hofstra.
5. Massapequa (5)
The reigning Nassau Class A champions earned the right to defend their title after Massapequa (15-3) beat No. 3 Port Washington, 11-7. The regular-season meeting between Massapequa and No. 1 Syosset required overtime, with Syosset winning, 13-12.
6. Wantagh (6)
Luke Martini’s nine-point day led No. 1 Wantagh to a 19-7 win over No. 5 North Shore. Now Wantagh (13-3) has a chance at lifting its third consecutive county title, but it’ll have to beat No. 2 South Side at 7:30 p.m. Monday at Hofstra.
7. Cold Spring Harbor (7)
The top-seeded Seahawks shut out No. 4 Oyster Bay, 16-0. Cold Spring Harbor (14-3) will face No. 2 Locust Valley at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Nassau Class D championship game with the hope of lifting the program’s fifth consecutive county title.
8. Manhasset (9)
Once more, No. 2 Manhasset (14-4) will compete for a county title after its 11-1 semifinal win over No. 3 Bethpage. Garden City awaits in a rematch of the Woodstick Classic, which the Trojans won, 14-6.
9. Sachem North (On the cusp)
A semifinal win over No. 3 Ward Melville began the week, but that's the past. It’s been 31 years since Sachem North’s boys lacrosse team lifted a county title, and even that was as a combined team. A 12-7 win over No. 1 Northport changed that. Sachem North (16-3) has lacrosse to play in June, and that’s a special milestone for coach Anthony Muratore’s group.
10. Northport (8)
A dominant 14-6 win over No. 4 Half Hollow Hills feels like a lifetime ago after the Tigers’ loss to Sachem North in the county final. Northport (16-3) had a terrific spring, but it ended earlier than the Tigers wanted.
On the cusp: South Side, Smithtown East, Port Washington, Farmingdale, Sayville.
