Anthony Diieso completed 24 of 26 passes for 335 yards and three touchdowns with an interception and Xavier Bala rushed for 190 yards and four touchdowns on 22 carries to lead visiting St. Anthony’s to a 48-42 win over Archbishop Stepinac in the CHSFL on Saturday.
Rory McDermott caught eight passes for 153 yards and a touchdown, Cole Magro had eight receptions for 147 yards and Luke Maurino caught seven passes for 47 yards and two touchdowns for St. Anthony’s (1-2).
Archbishop Stepinac is 2-2.
Cardinal Hayes 35, Kellenberg 34: Brayden Farrelly completed 14 passes for 228 yards and two touchdowns for host Kellenberg (2-2). Quinn Saccheri rushed for 89 yards and two scores. Brendan Barkley ran for 63 yards and a score on 14 carries. Ryan Kuntz caught six passes for 104 yards and a TD. Finn Hastings caught two passes for 43 yards and a TD.
St. John the Baptist 27, St. Francis Prep 6: Kalen Percer rushed for 70 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries and also returned the opening kickoff of the second half for a 97-yard touchdown to lead host St. John the Baptist (3-0) past St. Francis Prep (2-2). Finn Hansen caught two interceptions. Christopher Trinca made 13 tackles, one for a loss, and returned an interception 53 yards for a touchdown.
Monsignor Farrell 28, Chaminade 3: Kellan Stapleton kicked a 43-yard field goal for host Chaminade (1-3) against Monsignor Farrell (4-0).
FRIDAY’S GAME
St. Dominic 42, Nazareth 2: Anthony Branscum ran for two touchdowns, recorded a 10-yard pick-6, and added two sacks and two tackles for a loss to lead St. Dominic (1-2) to a home win. Lawenson Paul had a 20-yard pick-6. Ray Minson threw a 20-yard touchdown pass to Nick Lang. Aaron Bangstton went 4-for-4 on PATs.
