Xavier Bala had 17 carries for 298 yards and four touchdowns to lead host St. Anthony’s to a 35-27 non-league win over Xavier on Friday. Bala had scoring runs of 3, 73, 7 and 15 yards for the Friars (2-2). Xavier led 14-7 at halftime, but Cole Magro returned the opening kickoff of the second half 90 yards for a score and Bala ran in the two-point conversion for the lead.
Chaminade 25, St. Francis Prep 18: Anthony Trapani rushed for 170 yards and three touchdowns, including the tying and go-ahead scores in the fourth quarter to lead visiting Chaminade (2-3) in non-league. Kellen Stapleton made a 46-yard field goal in the second quarter.
St. Dominic 8, Christ the King 7: Darius Green ran for a 10-yard touchdown and Aaron Bengstton ran in the two-point conversion to lead visiting St. Dominic (2-2) in CHSFL AA-II.
Fordham Prep 13, St. John the Baptist 6: Devin Michaels connected with Nick Mastriano for a 32-yard touchdown pass for St. John the Baptist (3-1) in CHSFL AA-I.
