Long Island high school football roundup from Week 3 of the season

Dylan Parchment had 12 carries for 252 yards and a school-record five touchdowns to lead host Hewlett to a 40-13 win over Carle Place in a Nassau III/IV crossover Monday night. Preston Cusumano added a 25-yard TD run. Dom Lord blocked an extra point, recovered a fumble and made six tackles. Gabe Bowery had six tackles, including one for a loss, and forced two fumbles for Hewlett (2-1).

Michael Seglin ran for a 16-yard touchdown for Carle Place (1-2). Jack Ryan completed an 11-yard TD pass to Chris Gaulrapp.

MacArthur 20, East Meadow 15: Vinny Szucs ran for two touchdowns to lead host MacArthur (1-2) in a Nassau I/II crossover game. Ethan Shapiro added a 4-yard TD run. Shapiro’s tackle on fourth-and-long late in the fourth quarter forced a turnover on downs and sealed the win.

Alexander Lengu ran for two TDs and a two-point conversion for East Meadow (2-2).

Island Trees 26, Mineola 6: Markus Bazelais had 14 carries for 77 yards and a touchdown and caught two passes for 72 yards and a TD to lead visiting Island Trees (2-2) in a Nassau III/IV crossover game. Kurt Echezuria completed 8 of 12 passes for 168 yards and a TD and added a rushing score. Gio Campisi ran for 38 yards and a TD. Merlo Reyes had eight solo tackles and a sack. Anthony Devlin ran for an 8-yard TD in the first quarter for Mineola (1-2).

Valley Stream North 42, Sewanhaka 33: Michael Omojola ran 13 times for 65 yards and four touchdowns, Justin Gangi had 14 carries for 164 yards and a TD and Adebayo Kayode ran 15 times for 113 yards and a score to lead visiting Valley Stream North (2-1) in Nassau III/IV crossover play. Jerry Thomas had two sacks and a forced fumble.

Peyton Saravia-Sims ran for a TD and threw two TD passes for Sewanhaka (1-2). Lance Williams Jr. had a 90-yard pick-6.

North Shore 24, Glen Cove 7: Joey Cristofari had 12 carries for 96 yards and two TDs and threw a two-point conversion pass to Pavlos Papantoniou to lead visiting North Shore (3-0) in a Nassau III/IV crossover. Papantoniou had two sacks, including one in the end zone for a safety. Casey Gates had 13 carries for 157 yards and a TD and added an interception. Canon Evans had an interception and a sack and Brendan Conklin added a sack. Xavier Maldonado ran for a 22-yard TD for Glen Cove (0-3).

SUFFOLK II

Copiague 27, Centereach 23: Trameer Jones returned a kickoff 68 yards for a go-ahead touchdown in the fourth quarter of visiting Copiague’s Suffolk II win. Adrian Jaquez completed nine passes for 133 yards and two touchdowns and Jayden James caught three passes for 83 yards and a TD for Copiague (2-1). Martin Koppelman threw for 214 yards and two TDs for Centereach (1-2).

Commack 35, Deer Park 12: Lincoln Riggs completed 14 of 21 for 180 yards and a touchdown, ran for two TDs and added two interceptions to lead host Commack (3-0). Jordan Hamilton caught four passes for 102 yards and a score. Corey Jacobs ran for 104 yards and a TD. Tommy Grabow had 10 tackles and two sacks and Ryan Ostling also had two sacks for Commack.

Anthony Kern threw a 60-yard TD pass to Nusanti Delbridge to give Deer Park (1-2) a 12-7 lead in the second quarter. Kern added an 8-yard rushing TD.

SUFFOLK IV

Harborfields 21, Hampton Bays 12: Ethan Roman had six tackles, a forced fumble and two interceptions, including the go-ahead 25-yard pick-6 in the fourth quarter to lead host Harborfields (1-3) in Suffolk IV. Vern Bratton rushed 19 times for 140 yards and a touchdown. Anthony Ciaramitaro had 10 tackles, including two for loss. Michael Single ran for two TDs to help Hampton Bays (2-2) take a 12-8 halftime lead.

Center Moriches 38, Greenport/Southold/Mattituck 6: Jason Faller completed all six of his passing attempts for 125 yards and two touchdowns and had 11 rushes for 73 yards and a score to lead host Center Moriches (3-2) in Suffolk IV. Joe Ferraro ran for 77 yards and a TD on eight carries. Christian Versacci returned a kickoff 60 yards for a TD and caught three passes for 44 yards and a score. Ryan Mitchell caught a 53-yard TD pass. Franklin Heredia had a sack.

Zyaire Terry ran 11 times for 97 yards for Greenport/Southold/Mattituck (1-3). Brayden Kruk ran for TD and Colton Hubbard recovered a fumble.

Bayport-Blue Point 23, Babylon 0: Josh Franchak ran for 174 yards and three touchdowns on 18 carries for host Bayport-Blue Point (3-0). Jamison Hawkins had six tackles and an interception and Pat Ahern added six tackles. Tommy Steyert kicked a 35-yard field goal. Babylon fell to 1-3.

Sayville 56, Miller Place 6: Timmy Holahan scored four touchdowns and recorded 179 all-purpose yards, helping host Sayville (3-0) score on its first seven possessions. Frankie Hanley completed all 11 of his passes for 172 yards and two TDs and added a rushing score. Colin Darling caught five passes for 105 yards and a score. Connor Batterberry had six carries for 56 yards and two TDs. Cole Canterella, Robert Hoss and Liam Tooney each had an interception.

Nick Gould returned a kickoff 90 yards for a TD for Miller Place (2-2).
