Conference I

George Metaxas converted a QB sneak on 4th-and-1 with 45 seconds left on Hempstead’s 40-yard line to seal Syosset’s 28-24 home win over the Tigers Friday night in Nassau’s Conference I. He threw for 184 yards and three touchdowns. Raghav Ghosh had 113 receiving yards and caught a 56-yard TD pass for Syosset (3-3). Liam Urrutia and Sebastian Casabianca each added a TD reception. Austin Cohen ran for a touchdown and had seven tackles, two for a loss, and a sack. Devonte Burton and Noah Smith both caught a TD pass from Seth Montgomery for Hempstead (3-2).

Farmingdale 35, Freeport 7: Jack Watrous ran seven times for 139 yards and a score as Farmingdale (4-1) combined for 277 rushing yards in its Nassau I home win. Nicholas Toto ran nine times for 53 yards and three touchdowns. He completed 3 of 6 passes for 41 yards and a touchdown. Dom Martillotti and Jaylen Roman recovered a fumble apiece. Kyle Eversley had a sack. Christian McCravey ran for a 53-yard touchdown for Freeport (4-2).

SATURDAY’S GAMES

Plainview-Old Bethpage JFK 34, Hicksville 14: Ethan Brake went 6-for-9 passing with 108 yards and ran nine times for 81 yards and two TDs for Plainview-Old Bethpage JFK (5-1). Drew Sansobrino rushed 11 times for 101 yards and three scores. Erijah Britto and Jaskaran Zloi both ran for a touchdown for Hicksville (1-4).

Port Washington 49, Herricks/Wheatley/Roslyn 15: Harry Eynon completed 12 of 15 passes for 238 yards and five touchdowns for visiting Port Washington (4-1). Levi Felix had four receptions for 51 yards and two TDs, and Max McElhone caught four passes for 64 yards and a score. Eddie Conlon had two receptions for 40 yards and a TD. Owen Lang had a 65-yard TD reception and made five tackles. James McCormack recovered a fumble and had four tackles. Spyro Stellas had a 75-yard touchdown TD for Herricks/Wheatley/Roslyn (0-5).

Westbury 62, Uniondale 12: Terron Hardy rushed for 205 yards and two TDs to lift host Westbury (3-2) over Uniondale (0-5). Jason Clarke had five tackles, three for loss, and recovered a blocked punt for a score. Richmond Castro Derosier had five tackles and two forced fumbles. Wayne Olivier had an interception.

Conference II

Ethan Shapiro rushed for 138 yards and punched in a 1-yard touchdown as part of a 19-point third quarter for MacArthur in its 19-6 road win over Roosevelt Saturday in Nassau’s Conference II. Tyler Centonze added 42 rushing yards and a touchdown. Vinny Szucs ran for a 25-yard rushing touchdown. Colin McDermott intercepted a pass and Jake Henschel picked up a sack. Michael Dawson ran for an 86-yard touchdown for Roosevelt (1-4).

Garden City 38, Mepham 14: Anthony Asaro had 10 carries for 99 yards and two touchdowns and Brayden Robertiello completed 9 of 12 passes for 115 yards and added two touchdown runs for visiting Garden City (4-1). Christian Roddini had 11 carries for 92 yards and a TD. Gus Galli recovered a fumble and AJ Haffner had an interception. Lucas Eagleston and Ryan McCabe each caught a TD pass from Adam Erlichman for Mepham (2-3).

Long Beach 42, New Hyde Park 6: Brody Riedel rushed for three touchdowns and also caught a fourth score for Long Beach (3-2) in its road win. Brody Juan threw a touchdown pass to three different receivers. Jaron Burns returned a punt for a 75-yard touchdown and also caught one of Juan’s three touchdown passes. Joe Henn caught a 35-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter from Juan. Adam Abdullah caught a 10-yard touchdown pass from Hunter Nacewitz for New Hyde Park (2-4).

Conference III

Luke Martini threw an 8-yard touchdown pass to Joe Adamo, ran for 91 yards for a score on 16 carries and caught four passes for 92 yards for Wantagh in its 28-19 road win over Manhasset in Nassau Conference III on Friday. Last year’s Thorp Award winner, given to Nassau’s most outstanding player, has 866 rushing yards and 13 TDs on just 75 carries this year. It’s also his second game with a passing touchdown this fall. Adamo had three catches for 58 yards and a score. Max Avena completed 8 of 12 passes for 167 yards, including a touchdown to Mike Amodio. Marty Maniet had a 30-yard rushing score. Brendan Wood went 4-for-4 on PATs for Wantagh (5-0). Reid Schwartz threw two TDs for Manhasset (2-3).

Plainedge 49, Elmont 6: Dom Agovino rushed for 100 yards and four TDs on nine carries for host Plainedge (4-1). Aidan Ryan rushed for 75 yards and a score. Mike Ranaudo added two TD runs and 40 yards on three carries. Casey Auer and Jonny Cynar had two sacks apiece. Nick Moutsatsos added a sack and an interception. Sean Maher also intercepted a pass. Niko Dimakopoulos went 7-for-7 on PATs. Kesaan Thompson rushed for a 33-yard touchdown for Elmont (1-4).

Clarke 24, Glen Cove 0: Will Grassini threw for 164 yards and two TDs and rushed for a score for visiting Clarke (1-4) over Glen Cove (0-5). Yaya Segura had four receptions for 105 yards and two scores. Bryan Araujo made a 25-yard field goal. Both Nicco Carino and Everett Barsauskas had INTs.

Conference IV

On fourth down with 35 seconds left, Jack Ryan completed a pass to Peter Kanios, who then lateraled it to Tyler Marquart for a 43-yard touchdown to tie the score before Justin Escobar’s go-ahead PAT for Carle Place in its 21-20 win over Locust Valley Friday in Nassau IV. Marquart caught three passes for 59 yards and a score, and he ran 11 times for 67 yards. Ryan completed 12 of 17 passes for 235 yards and a TD. He also ran for two touchdowns. Michael Seglin had nine tackles and a fumble recovery for Carle Place (2-3). Marcus Houghteling ran for three touchdowns for Locust Valley (1-4).

Floral Park 21, Lynbrook 14: Michael Kowalski and Joe Segota forced a fumble on 4th-and-1 inside Floral Park’s 5-yard line with 1:45 left, with Tommy Imperato recovering it for the visiting Knights (4-1). Luke Mulligan returned Rocco Berkery’s blocked punt 10 yards for the go-ahead TD in the third quarter. Kowalski ran 14 times for 104 yards. William O’Riordan completed a 13-yard touchdown pass to Alihan Simsek for Lynbrook (2-3).

East Rockaway/West Hempstead 30, North Shore 26: Tristen Rose had 20 carries for 327 yards and three TDs for host East Rockaway/West Hempstead (2-3). Jayden Romeo had 14 carries for 137 yards and the go-ahead 2-yard TD run with 5:40 remaining. Merge Pasantez caught the two-point conversion pass from Rohan Mathai and grabbed his second interception on North Shore’s next play from scrimmage. The Rocks ran out the final 5:22. Terry Hayes had three sacks and three tackles for loss. Joey Cristofari ran for three touchdowns and completed a 12-yard TD pass to Tommy Curran for North Shore (4-1).

Malverne 34, Island Trees 6: Isaiah Smith ran eight times for 167 yards and three touchdowns for Malverne (4-1). Smith completed 2 of 4 passes for 33 yards and a touchdown. Jamir Houston ran seven times for 60 yards and a TD. He had nine tackles. Marcus Bazelais ran 12 times for 105 yards, including a 40-yard TD for Island Trees (3-3).

Seaford 48, Cold Spring Harbor 12: Finn Curry completed 18 of 25 passes for 334 yards and five touchdowns, marching Seaford (3-2) to a road win. Brock Conway caught four passes for 152 yards and two TDs. Nick Paluzzi had six receptions for 129 yards and two scores. Conall Reynolds threw TD passes of 53 and 19 yards to Andrew Ioannou and Louie Talamas for Cold Spring Harbor (2-3).

SATURDAY’S GAMES

Valley Stream South 48, Lawrence 18: Jeff Thimonte ran six times for 157 yards and three touchdowns as VSS (3-2) totaled 401 yards on 16 carries. Aiden Paris ran four times for 139 yards and two scores. Michael Thimonte broke up two passes. Hunter Rush had 11 tackles, three for a loss. Lawrence is 1-4.

Valley Stream North 33, Oyster Bay/Friends Academy 6: Jerry Thomas ran for an 11-yard TD and caught two passes for 88 yards and two scores for host VSN (4-1). Justin Gangi made six tackles and recovered a fumble. Oyster Bay/Friends is 1-5.
