PSAL football Gridiron Greats from Week 4
Jaiden Brooks, Lincoln: The senior defensive back registered an interception and also contributed on offense with a 64-yard touchdown reception in the first quarter.
Nayir Jackson, Erasmus Hall: He caught five passes for 189 yards and three touchdowns in a 52-32 win over Eagle Academy II.
Tyrese Vassell, August Martin: He had three receptions for 90 yards and two touchdowns, and added an interception return for a touchdown in the team’s first win of the season, an 18-12 victory over Frederick Douglass Academy.
Vincent Canzoneri, Curtis: He was a perfect 6-for-6 passing for 204 yards and four touchdowns in a 49-0 win over New Dorp.
Adam Oueriaguli, William C. Bryant: He collected three receptions for 87 yards and a touchdown. He also had two tackles and a fumble recovery, which he returned for a touchdown, in a 28-0 win over Christopher Columbus Campus.
Christian Dennis, South Shore: He had an interception and forced a fumble that was returned for a touchdown in a 36-29 win over Brooklyn Tech.
Emanuel King III, Fort Hamilton: On just 11 touches, he totaled 189 yards of offense and one touchdown in a 58-20 loss to JFK.
Rudolph Akumani, Mott Haven: He threw for 132 yards and one touchdown and also rushed for 58 yards and a score in a 12-6 win over defending 1A champion Grady.
Jaylen Cobb, Eagle Academy III (Queens): The junior defensive lineman had seven tackles, including three for a loss and two sacks, in a 26-0 win over Springfield Gardens.
Brandon Garcia, Erasmus Hall: He led the Dutchmen defense with eight tackles and had a fumble recovery in a 52-32 win over Eagle Academy II.
Kyle McKay, Transit Tech: He had six carries for 75 yards and three touchdowns. He also added a 24-yard touchdown reception in a 52-14 win over Grand Street Campus.
Dushawn Bailey, Grady: He had 10 receptions for 135 yards and added 11 tackles on defense in a 12-6 loss to Mott Haven.
