League I
Caleb Maugeri completed 19 of 28 passes for 285 yards and three touchdowns for Connetquot in its road win over Sachem East Saturday in Suffolk’s League I. Kingston Maugeri had seven receptions for 127 yards, including a 65-yard TD. Damian Sosa had four receptions for 61 yards and added a 1-yard rushing TD for Connetquot (2-2). Jonas Mendez had five receptions for 50 yards, a touchdown and an interception. Ethan Burns had a 1-yard touchdown run for Sachem East (3-1).
Patchogue-Medford 45, Riverhead 13: Kevin Parker rushed for 239 yards and four touchdowns on 27 carries to lead Patchogue-Medford (1-3) to a road win. Parker also had five tackles, two for a loss, and a sack. Brett Rupolo completed nine passes for 128 yards. Evan Picciano caught three passes for 100 yards. Andrew Johnstone had six tackles, two TFLs, and a sack. Kavion Hobbs had two touchdowns for Riverhead (0-4).
Brentwood 46, Central Islip 6: Evan Johnson ran 11 times for 149 yards and two touchdowns for host Brentwood (2-2). Luis Minaya took five carries for 76 yards and two TDs. Steven Cuello made five tackles, including three for a loss. Daniel Guzman recovered two fumbles and Josh Harris recovered one. Jayden Lamarre blocked a punt. Elias Diaz and Luis Velasquez both forced a fumble. Mizael Taveras had five tackles, one for a loss. Hernandez Yandy completed a 32-yard touchdown pass to Lawson Mitchell for Central Islip (0-4).
FRIDAY’S GAME
Whitman 28, Bay Shore 8: Jason Thompson had six catches for 86 yards and a touchdown, threw a TD pass and had two interceptions to lead host Whitman (2-2). Dodge Alahverdian completed 13 of 21 passes for 194 yards and a TD. Mark Rutledge ran for 43 yards and a TD and added two catches for 49 yards. He had nine tackles, including three for loss and a sack. Ronnie Park ran for 51 yards and a touchdown and Timmy Harrison added a TD catch and an interception. Khayden Alexander ran for a 43-yard TD for Bay Shore (3-1).
League II
Bryce Williams had two sacks and forced a fumble with just over a minute remaining for Bellport, with Ali Mohammed recovering it. Matt Chojnacki scored a 10-yard rushing touchdown on the next play for the go-ahead score with 58 seconds remaining to lift Bellport to a 22-14 home win over Deer Park in Suffolk’s League II Saturday. The Clippers trailed by seven before Horace Smith ran for a 24-yard touchdown with six minutes remaining in the fourth quarter. Smith had an interception on Deer Park’s final drive to seal the win. Chojnacki ran 19 times for 108 yards and two touchdowns, and Smith rushed for 110 yards and a score on 14 carries for Bellport (1-3). Mohammed had a sack and AJ St. Fort Colin had an interception. Nusanti Delbridge caught an 86-yard touchdown from Anthony Kern for Deer Park (1-3).
North Babylon 23, Huntington 19: Christian Creaven-Tintella converted three field goals of 37, 25 and 21 yards and went 2-for-2 on PATs for North Babylon (3-1). Jack Miller ran 25 times for 91 yards and a TD. Chandler Como ran 14 times for 83 yards and a score. He also had an interception, one of three for the Bulldogs alongside Elisha Buly and TJ Shaw. Shates Miller completed 19 passes for 232 yards and two TDs for Huntington (2-2).
Newfield 14, Copiague 6: With about six-and-a-half minutes remaining, Connor Stebbins threw a 28-yard touchdown pass to Finn Weinhauer to give Newfield (2-2) the lead in its road win. Weinhauer finished with two receiving touchdowns, rushed 10 times for 78 yards. He made 11 tackles and caught an interception. Newfield’s defense took the ball away four times with two picks and two fumble recoveries. For Copiague (2-2), Asante Daniels took 17 carries for 100 yards, ripping off a 61-yard touchdown in the third quarter. Trameer Jones caught six passes for 44 yards and snagged an interception. Gregory Brooks had two sacks. Rashad Giggets Jr., Jai’den Pernell, Brandon Sanchez and Jaiden Urbina added one sack each.
Centereach 30, Lindenhurst 24: Martin Koppelman threw for 175 yds and three touchdowns, including the go-ahead 5-yard TD pass to Scott Ward with 7:02 left in Centereach’s road win. Koppelman ran for 45 yards and a TD and a two-point conversion. Ward caught four passes for 69 yards and two TDs. Jax Prokop had three catches for 56 yards and a TD and had six tackles, two sacks and a forced fumble. Prokop kicked two PATs and caught a two-point conversion pass from Koppelman. Ryan Ortiz had a forced fumble, a fumble recovery and an interception and Ashton Derival had four tackles, two sacks and a fumble recovery for Centereach (2-2). Mikey Pusey caught TD passes of 26, 73 and 25 yards from Mikey Russo for Lindenhurst (0-4). Ryan Andreone’s 33-yard field goal gave Lindenhurst a 24-15 lead at the end of the third quarter.
FRIDAY’S GAME
Commack 42, Smithtown East 30: Commack’s offensive line cleared the path for 328 combined rushing yards, leading to the Cougars’ second-half comeback at home. Logan LaCamera rushed for 121 yards and Corey Jacobs added 96 yards. Spencer Weiss had 73 yards on the ground with a 5-yard rushing TD and a 4-yard TD reception. Weiss also returned a blocked field goal 65 yards for a touchdown as time expired in the first half. Steve Kim had nine tackles and Tommy Grabow had four tackles for a loss for Commack (4-0). Jayden Famighetti had two sacks and one TFL for Smithtown East (0-4). Niko Kostas completed 10 of 24 passes for 173 yards and two touchdowns. Xander Lisanti had four receptions for 54 yards and two TDs.
League III
Peyton Reisinger had 247 rushing yards and four touchdowns on 19 carries and completed 13 passes for 203 yards and a score, leading Rocky Point to a 35-21 road victory over West Babylon Saturday in Suffolk’s League III. Nick Moore caught a 6-yard TD and recorded an interception. Will Tenzler had a sack and recovered an onside kick. Jahavi Reyes had 5-yard rushing TD and threw two touchdown passes to Jacob Gaertner for West Babylon (1-3).
Islip 42, Half Hollow Hills West 21: Jack Halpin went 18-for-26 passing for 270 yards and two touchdowns to lead visiting Islip (2-2) over Half Hollow Hills West (1-3). Halpin also rushed for 50 yards and a touchdown. Carmine Rosselli rushed for two TDs and Scott Brown had seven catches for 120 yards and a TD. John Elmonuce had seven tackles and a sack. Liam Ferraro, Chris Rizzo and Armani Edwards each had an interception. Nate Krakaur went 6-for-6 on extra points.
East Hampton 31, Comsewogue 0: Billy Stern threw three touchdown passes to lead East Hampton (2-2) past Comsewogue (0-4). Jackson Carney caught five passes for 150 yards and two touchdowns. Jackson Ronick caught a 12-yard touchdown pass and also rushed for a 75-yard score. Colton Everett went 4-for-4 in extra-point attempts and made a 30-yard field goal.
FRIDAY’S GAMES
West Islip 48, Hauppauge 6: Jake Kramer had 12 carries for 214 yards and five touchdowns in the first half for host West Islip (3-1). Kramer had TD runs of 66, 22, 28, 20 and 2 yards. Noah Cotto scored on a 48-yard run and Jackson O’Hara added a 4-yard TD run. The Lions’ held Hauppauge to 64 rushing yards. Matthew Marker had 10 tackles, including two for a loss, and Luke Tate and Jack Elko each had nine tackles. Giuseppe Calabrese ran for a TD for Hauppauge (2-2).
Eastport-South Manor 27, Smithtown West 6: Jayden Durham had 19 carries for 175 yards and two touchdowns and completed 5 of 9 passes for 113 yards and a TD for visiting Eastport-South Manor (3-1). Cole Klein caught two passes for 71 yards, including a 53-yard TD. Joey Hershey had 17 carries for 89 yards and a score. Tommy Powers had a sack and Durham and Cole Scesney each had an interception. Michael Kluse had 11 tackles and John Samartino had nine tackles. Michael Norris returned a kickoff 95 yards for a TD for Smithtown West (1-3).
League IV
Mason Walsh ran for 150 yards and two second-half touchdowns on 17 carries to lead host Center Moriches to its first win over Glenn in program history according to coach Matt Millheiser, 47-45, on Friday in Suffolk Division IV. Glenn drove down inside Center Moriches’ the 5-yard line with under a minute left, but the Red Devils made stops on first and second down before blocking the field goal attempt. Rich Roberts completed 12 of 16 passes for 288 yards and two TDs. Christian Versacci and Nolan Tenety each returned kickoffs for a TD and had five catches, inlcuding a TD. Versacci had 169 receiving yards and Tenety had 108 yards. Offensive linemen Michael Sheehan, Max Cintron, Colin Freck, Franklin Heredia, Cole Wagner and Joe Martuscello allowed zero sacks and zero pressures for Center Moriches (4-2). Dorian Adams recovered a fumble. Keith King ran for 307 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries for Glenn (3-2).
Sayville 42, Mount Sinai 0: Connor Batterberry had 20 carries for 180 yards and three TDs for visiting Sayville (4-0). Frankie Hanley completed 10 of 15 passes for 180 yards and a TD and had three carries for 51 yards and a score. Colin Darling had four catches for 92 yards and a score as Sayville totaled 493 yards of offense. Saad Abid had an INT as the Golden Flashes held Mount Sinai (2-2) to 82 yards of total offense.
Miller Place 34, Hampton Bays 6: Jack Miller had 12 carries for 128 yards and a TD and completed 3 of 6 passes for 85 yards and a TD for visiting Miller Place (3-2). Brendan Cannon rushed for 30 yards and a TD and caught two passes for 35 yards. Mikey Poerio rushed for 65 yards and two TDs on four carries. Cameron Meadows caught a 24-yard TD pass and Drew Meyer had 10 tackles. Michael Single ran for a 1-yard TD for Hampton Bays (2-5).
Bayport-Blue Point 35, Harborfields 0: Josh Franchak had seven carries for 170 yards and two touchdowns for visiting Bayport-Blue Point (4-0). Matt Bachmore ran for two TDs and threw a 20-yard score to Rodney Magee. Ryan Kloss added four carries for 45 yards and Tommy Steyert made all five of his PATs. Harborfields is 1-4.
Wyandanch 32, Greenport/Southold/Mattituck 6: Dominick Correnthi rushed for two TDs and a 2-point conversion for visiting Wyandanch (2-2). Kendell Martin caught a 20-yard TD pass from Alex Rodriguez. Noah Foster caught a TD pass from Brayden Kruk for Greenport/Southold/Mattituck (1-4).
