SUFFOLK I

Julius Herrera completed 8 of 15 passes for 125 yards and two touchdowns, snagging an interception with 1:48 remaining that set up Rai Ferrer’s 55-yard rushing touchdown to seal Brentwood’s 24-14 home win over Sachem East in Suffolk I. Daniel Argueta hit a 31-yard field goal to give the Spartans the lead with 9:29 remaining. Trey McMillan finished with three receptions for 50 yards, two touchdowns and a two-point conversion. Mizael Taveras made 12 total tackles, a tackle for loss, and he caught an interception. Elijah Jackson finished with 10 tackles and two tackles for a loss. Justin Rivera added seven tackles and Josh Harris had seven tackles and a sack for Brentwood (1-1). John Pitcocci had an 80-yard kick return score and a rushing TD for Sachem East (1-1).

Whitman 40, Riverhead 6: Jason Thompson had 238 all-purpose yards and four touchdowns to lead visiting Whitman (1-1). Thompson had receiving scores of 32 and six yard, a 60-yard interception return TD and a 57-yard punt return score. Dodge Alahverdian completed 9 of 13 passes for 129 yards and two touchdowns. Mark Rutledge had six carries for 57 yards and a touchdown. Jason Perez threw a touchdown for Riverhead (0-2).

FRIDAY’S GAME

Connetquot 49, Central Islip 7: Caleb Maugeri completed 16 of 23 passes for 250 yards and four touchdowns for host Connetquot (1-1). Jonas Mendez caught eight passes for 136 yards and two TDs. Marcus Anglin had 14 carries for 110 yards and a TD and added a 15-yard TD reception. Andrew McQuade had a 19-yard TD catch. Jadon Anglin had three sacks and Logan Lamberson made all seven of his PATs. Mitchell Lawson caught an 81-yard TD pass from Yandy Hernandez for Central Islip (0-2).

SUFFOLK II

Logan LaCamera punched in a 2-yard rushing touchdown in the fourth quarter to extend Commack’s lead in its 21-13 home win over Bellport Friday in Suffolk II. LaCamera also ran for a 4-yard score to open the game. Ryan Ostling had 10 tackles, a forced fumble and a sack. Tommy Grabow added a fumble recovery and a sack.

Matt Chojnacki had two rushing TDs for Bellport (0-2).

SATURDAY’S GAMES

Northport 35, North Babylon 19: Gavin O’Brien completed all five of his passes for 242 yards and four TDs and rushed for 75 yards and a TD for Northport (2-0). Thomas McGovern had 118 receiving yards and two TDs. Tommy Zarcone had 14 tackles and Tristan Magro had 13 tackles. James Catalano caught a TD pass and ran for one for North Babylon (1-1).

Deer Park 21, Smithtown East 14: Tyler Cummings totaled 125 scrimmage yards on six touches for host Deer Park (1-1). He caught a 39-yard touchdown pass from Anthony Kern and returned an interception 48 yards for another score. Kern went 9-for-12 with 180 passing yards and ran eight times for 50 yards. Aaron Parker rushed for a touchdown. Melikai Gasby made 10 tackles.
Niko Kostas rushed for two touchdowns for Smithtown East (0-2).

Newfield 6, Centereach 0: Steve Carney caught seven passes for 100 yards and Connor Stebbins rushed for a 1-yard touchdown for host Newfield (1-1). Chris Nuzzi had three sacks. Noah Adla recovered a fumble on the 1-yard line in the second quarter and broke up a pass in the end zone in the fourth quarter. Centereach drops to 1-1.

Copiague 28, Lindenhurst 7: Adrian Jaquez threw TD passes to Rashad Giggetts Jr., Trameer Jones and Jayden James for Copiague (1-1). Gregory Brooks had two sacks. Charles Williams Jr. returned an interception for a touchdown, recovered a fumble and added a sack. Tomoy Campbell rushed for a TD for Lindenhurst (0-2).

SUFFOLK III

Blake Stockwell threw for 172 yards and three touchdowns to lead visiting Smithtown West to a 27-15 win over West Babylon in Suffolk III Friday. Joey Cantave had 23 carries for 136 yards and a TD. Collin Murphy had seven catches for 90 yards and a TD. Murphy, Luke Brown and Michael Norris each caught a TD pass and had an interception. Nick D’Ambrosio had five tackles, including two for loss. Onur Mete caught a 33-yard TD pass from Jacob Gaertner and Xavier Estevez added a TD run for West Babylon (1-1).

Westhampton 28, West Islip 7: Jake Calloway ran for three touchdowns, including a 75-yard score in the fourth quarter, and threw a 35-yard TD pass to Connor Ragimierski for Westhampton (2-0). Nik Paga made all four of his PATs. Jake Kramer returned a kickoff 93 yards for a touchdown for West Islip (1-1).

East Islip 42, Hauppauge 0: Andrew Arena ran for 161 yards on 16 carries including a first play 80-yard touchdown to lead East Islip (2-0). Owen Madden ran for 126 yards and a score. Rayan Shehu blocked a punt. Hauppauge fell to 1-1.

Half Hollow Hills West 12, Comsewogue 0: Sam Seid rushed for 96 yards and two touchdowns on 12 carries to lead Half Hollow Hills West (1-1). Seid and Justin Zeva had eight tackles. David Uribe had 11 tackles. Christian Sala had six tackles and a fumble recovery. Jian Etkins had seven tackles and a sack. Comsewogue fell to 0-3.

SATURDAY’S GAME

Islip 28, East Hampton 14: Jack Halpin ran for a touchdown and threw another for Islip (1-1). The Buccaneers scored 14 unanswered points in the second half. David Grant ran for an 18-yard touchdown and Nate Krakaur went 4-for-4 on PATs. Joel Chavez caught a 7-yard touchdown pass from Billy Stern for East Hampton (0-2).

SUFFOLK IV

Keith King ran for a go-ahead 7-yard touchdown with six minutes left in the fourth quarter and punched in the two-point conversion to lead host Glenn to a 21-14 win over Shoreham-Wading River Saturday in Suffolk IV. King took 21 carries for 142 yards and had 14 tackles. Jayce Boyle-Summers returned a punt 62 yards for a score for the Knights (2-1). GJ Cook and Pedro Jones both had an interception and Ryan Bulger had 12 tackles. Grayden Aebisher’s 6-yard touchdown run gave Glenn a 13-7 halftime lead.

Noah Gregorek completed 20 of 37 passes for 226 yards, including a 65-yard touchdown pass to Jared LaRosa in the fourth quarter, for Shoreham-Wading River (2-1). Gregorek ran 12 times for 81 yards, with a 9-yard rushing score. LaRosa had three catches for 55 yards. Gavin Cleary caught 10 passes for 106 yards. Jershawn Coffey had nine tackles for Wildcats, including two for a loss, with a sack and a fumble recovery.

Babylon 45, Center Moriches 6: Deo Caselnova rushed eight times for 118 yards and three touchdowns for Babylon (1-2). Nick Longo rushed for 62 yards and a score on seven carries. Tyler Fiedler completed three passes for 58 yards. JJ Reid Jones had five tackles. Rich Roberts scored a 19-yard rushing touchdown for Center Moriches (1-2).

Kings Park 58, Hampton Bays 21: Ethan Caruso had five receptions for 92 yards and a touchdown, returned a kickoff 90 yards for a score and recovered a fumble in the end zone for a TD to lead visiting Kings Park (2-0). Lucas Vultaggio completed 8 of 10 passes for 144 yards and two touchdowns, adding 10 rushes for 109 yards and a TD.

Joey Verme had 10 carries for 104 yards and had three TDs touchdowns. Frankie Buffolino caught a 16-yard TD pass and had 11 tackles. Adrian Aristy had 11 tackles and two interceptions. Michael Jaeger had seven tackles and three sacks. Angelo Urso made all eight of his PATs. Sayville 55, Harborfields 0: Timmy Holahan took six carries for 119 yards and two touchdowns for host Sayville (2-0). The Golden Flashes recorded 381 yards and held Harborfields to 22 total yards on 34 plays. Connor Batterberry ran 10 times for 80 yards and a score.
