Newsday's top 10 high school girls lacrosse team rankings

1. St. Anthony’s (1)
The Friars notched two 10-point wins in week five — 18-8 over Morristown (NJ) and 16-6 over Sacred Heart — to remain in the top slot. Anna Christie continues to lead the Friars (7-1) with 26 goals and 15 assists.
2. Sayville (2)
The Golden Flashes have continued to put on an unbelievable campaign and are the only team on the Island standing at 10-0. Sayville put up two more convincing wins this week: 15-4 over Eastport-South Manor and 8-3 over West Islip. Sophia Buffardi and Dylan McNamara are leading the team with 38 points each.
3. Garden City (3)
The Trojans fended off Cold Spring Harbor (10-8) and dominated North Shore (17-9) to improve their record to 9-2 this week. Michaela Molgano is leading Garden City with 53 points (33 goals, 20 assists) as the team gears up for the highly anticipated Woodstick Classic against Manhasset on May 2.
4. Manhasset (4)
Manhasset suffered its first loss of the season against South Side (11-9) this week, but bounced back with a 16-7 win over Long Beach. Elim Yang continues to lead Manhasset (9-1) with a well-balanced 19 goals and 18 assists.
5. West Islip (6)
The Lions proved their dominance with their first win over Westhampton (14-6) in at least five years, but later fell to Sayville (8-3). Jenna Obloj is leading West Islip (9-1) with 27 goals and 12 assists as the team prepares to take on SWR and Smithtown West next week.
6. Huntington (7)
The Blue Devils remain undefeated at 9-0 after continuing to dominate their competition. They notched wins over Longwood (14-7) and Half Hollow Hills (16-4) this week. Jolie Weinschreider is leading Huntington with 47 points (31 goals, 16 assists).
7. Bayport-Blue Point (5)
The Phantoms defeated Mount Sinai, 13-7, but fell again to Harborfields, 11-9, this week. Olivia Brady continues to lead BBP with 27 points (21 goals, 6 assists). The Phantoms (5-3) will face Sayville in a rematch of last year’s Suffolk Class C final on Monday.
8. Cold Spring Harbor (9)
The Seahawks had a huge week against large school competition. Cold Spring Harbor came within two of Garden City in a 10-8 loss to start the week, and rebounded with a 9-8 win over Massapequa. Olivia Mulada continues to lead CSH (7-2) with 49 points (28 goals, 21 assists).
9. Northport (10)
Northport earned two dominant wins over Sachem North (17-3) and Whitman (19-6) early in the week, and narrowly slipped by Wilton (Conn.), 11-10, on Saturday to close it out. Now 9-0, Riley Cash is leading the Tigers with 63 points (40 goals, 23 assists).
10. Smithtown West (8)
Smithtown West snuck by Islip in a 9-8 overtime win, but fell to SWR, 11-6, later in the week. Now 6-2, the Bulls will take on a challenging West Islip on Wednesday. Alyssa Lorefice is leading the Bulls with 47 points (19 goals, 28 assists).
