Newsday's top 100 Long Island girls soccer players for 2026

Newsday’s annual list of the top 100 Long Island high school girls soccer players to start the 2026 season, listed in alphabetical order. All stats listed ar e from last season, unless otherwise noted.

 Gabrielle Arguelles, Smithtown West, M, Sr.: The Merrimack College commit controls the pace and tempo for the Bulls. Her lateral quickness and ball-handling ability makes her a tough matchup in one-one-one situations.

Emelie Asenjo, Hills West, F, Jr.: The four-year varsity starter is excellent at creating opportunities for herself and her teammates. She had 10 goals and eight assists.

Ava Barberio, Wantagh, M, Sr.: The Lynn University commit earned conference defensive player of the year honors. She is an all-around player with great decision-making skills and a high soccer IQ.

Mia Barrie, Syosset, F, Sr.: She is a fast and explosive player who can put pressure on opposing defenses. She has a strong left foot and can score from anywhere around the box.

Madison Boss, Connetquot, D/M, Sr.: The Le Moyne College commit is going to take on a bigger offensive role. She has great composure and reads the field well, allowing her to set up teammates to score.

Daisy Buja, Carey, M, Jr.: Coach Christopher Posillico referred to her as the engine of the midfield. She had seven goals and four assists.

Ella Candel, Hills West, M, Soph.: She dictates the tempo and controls the game on both ends. She had 12 goals and three assists.

Olivia Carbonaro, Island Trees, GK, Sr.: Her athleticism and intelligence allows her to make the saves that look impossible. She had a 91.5 save percentage. She is committed to play at Adelphi.

Riley Cash, Northport, M, Sr.: She uses her speed and athleticism to control the midfield. She scored eight goals.

Alexa Cergol, Mount Sinai, F, Sr.: The five-year varsity player broke the single-season goal-scoring record at Mount Sinai and finished fourth in Suffolk with 26 goals and added 14 assists. She is committed to play at Merrimack.

Monica Clavijo, North Babylon, M, Sr.: The five-year varsity starter is committed to Stony Brook. She has dynamic footwork and elite scoring skills as the focal point of North Babylon’s high-powered offense. She had 18 goals and seven assists.

Alexa Coppola, MacArthur, M, Sr.: She is skilled on the ball and has excellent field vision as the anchor of the Generals' defense.

Anastacia Corr, Farmingdale, D, Sr.: Her vision and composure allow her to transition seamlessly from winning possessions to orchestrating offense. She has great vision that allows her to be a great playmaker.

Daniella Correia, Carle Place, F, Soph.: She scored 18 goals and had four assists. Her speed and shiftiness make her one of the more dangerous strikers in Nassau County.

Grace Cullingford, Seaford, M, Jr.: Her stamina and endurance allow her to be impactful for both halves of any given game.

Sabrina Curcio, Calhoun, M, Sr.: She had seven goals and four assists. The LIU commit has great footwork and can get anywhere on the field.

Sofia D'Alessandro, Commack, M, Jr.: She had seven goals and nine assists. She is a versatile player and great finisher around the box.

 

Allison DeLuca, Clarke, M, Soph.: She has played every minute of every game for Clarke, according to coach Rebecca Wachsberger. She makes great on-ball decisions and is a team leader.

Ava DeMarco, Northport, F, Sr.: The reigning Newsday Player of the Year scored 29 goals and had 14 assists. The Monmouth University commit has the ability to change speed and direction to create space.

Gianna DiSanti, Roslyn, M, Sr.: Her soccer IQ and elite ball-handling skills allow her to control the middle of the field. She has great vision and can create opportunities for her teammates. She had eight assists.

Juliana Domingo, Massapequa, M, Sr.: She is quick and an excellent distributor. She always makes the right play to beat the other team's offense.

Cassidy Duran, Kellenberg, D, Sr.: She is poised, has a natural feel for the game and always makes the right decision. She had three goals and two assists.

Gianna Durler, Babylon, GK, Sr.: The Stony Brook commit is an excellent shot-stopper. She anchored the Panthers' defense and was a pivotal piece in their county championship run. She made 148 saves and had six shutouts.

Violet Dvorsky, Miller Place, M, Soph.: She has become the focal point of Miller Place’s offense. She scored 10 goals and had three assists.

Juliana Gandarillas, Smithtown East, M, Sr.: The LIU commit had four game-deciding goals to help the Bulls clinch a playoff berth, according to coach Robert Schretzmayer.

Ella Giordano, Hewlett, M, Soph.: She immediately made an impact for the Bulldogs, scoring 22 goals and dishing out six assists to making her one of the best scorers in Nassau County.

Ella Giordano, East Meadow, M, Sr.: She has great ball-handling skills and is a true force on the field. Coach Nicolette Tortorici said Giordano "is consistently setting the standard for dedication, discipline, and excellence.”

Olivia Gordon, Kellenberg, M, Jr.: The University of Louisville commit creates scoring opportunities through her technical ability and soccer IQ. She can scan the field and break down a defense. She finished second in the CHSAA in goals scored with 10.

Meghan Farrell, West Islip, D, Sr.: She can control the backline of the defense and disrupt the opposing team's best striker. She is also an offensive threat with four goals and six assists.

Emma Ferraro, Farmingdale, GK, Sr.: The Pace commit made 98 saves and allowed only 18 goals.

Paige Fessler, Valley Stream North, M, Sr.: Her athleticism makes it tough for any defender to guard her. She scored 12 goals and had three assists.

Aubrey Firenze, Newfield, D, Sr.: The SUNY New Paltz commit has a big impact on the defensive line, always making a key stop.

Joeyce Forero, Valley Stream Central, M, Jr.: She led the Eagles to an undefeated regular season. She scored 21 goals and had 16 assists earning her conference offensive player of the year honors.

Zoe Franks, Hills West, GK, Sr.: The VCU commit is the anchor of the Colts' defense. She had nine shutouts and allowed only 10 goals.

Viv Haley, South Side, D, Sr.: She is the backbone of the Cyclones’ defense. She is a versatile player who uses her technical ability and poise to lead South Side.

 

Maya Harrison, Sacred Heart, F, Sr.: The Amherst College commit is an attacking presence on offense, using her quickness and athleticism to score.

Mia Hennelly, Kellenberg, GK, Sr.: The James Madison University commit commands a strong presence in the box. She will be the anchor of the Firebirds' defense.

Juliana Hille, Eastport-South Manor, D, Sr.: She possesses the physical tools that dominate one-on-one matchups. She is committed to LIU.

Aaliyah Hollis, Sachem East, D, Soph.: Her athleticism combined with her technical and tactical ability makes her one of the better defenders in Suffolk County. Coach Glen Monsen said “she is one of the best players Sachem has had.”

Dakota Horton, Smithtown West, M, Jr.: Horton's speed enables her to stretch the defense and open up the field for the offense. Her ability to score will be a key factor for the Bulls' success.

McKayla Hyland, Wantagh, M, Sr.: Coach James Polo described the Pace commit as a “workhorse.” She’s great in the middle of the field, pushing the ball in transition and making key plays defensively.

Gina Iannuzzi, MacArthur, M, Sr.: The SUNY Cortland commit led the Generals in scoring. She is tough, relentless and quick.

Alexandra Justiniano, Ward Melville, M, Sr.: She has a strong presence in the midfield. She also has a strong soccer IQ and the vision to initiate offense.

Madyn Kalb, Huntington, M, Sr.: The Monmouth University commit is a great ball handler and decision-maker. She can read any defense and make her presence known on the field.

Alex Kaler, Bayport-Blue Point, GK, Sr.: The five-year varsity starter has not missed a game in her career. She recorded 159 saves and nine shutouts.

Addison Kelly, Kings Park, F, Jr.: Coach Bridget Patch praised Kelly's consistency and work ethic. Kelly had 15 goals and five assists.

Norihanna Korzenko, Ward Melville, D, Jr.: She’s the backbone of the Patriots' defense. Her combination of speed, strength and athleticism allows her to break any offense.

Maija Koski, Rocky Point, M, Jr.: She scored eight goals and had six assists. Coach Peter Costa praised her commitment and leadership.

Shea LaGiglia, Islip, D, Sr.: She is one of the best defenders in Suffolk County who also gets involved offensively. She scored 10 goals and dished out six assists.

Emily Leo, Newfield, GK, Sr.: The Queens College commit made 110 saves. Her combination of shot-stopping ability and decision making is going to be key for Newfield.

Aliya Leonard, Ward Melville, F, Sr.: The five-year starter is going to take a larger role offensively. Her ability to move off the ball and break down any defense is going to be key.

Jaymes Lind, Long Beach, D/M, Sr.: The Loyola University commit is an elite defender and center back. Her combination of vision, strength and soccer IQ enables her to shut down opposing offenses and control the tempo from the back line.

Bridget Locke, Glenn, F, Sr.: She was Glenn’s leading scorer with 12 goals. She uses her strength to  win possession and to create quality chances to score. She is committed to Farmingdale State.

Leigha Mackin, Connetquot, M, Jr.: She is moving back to her natural position as an attacking midfielder to showcase her ability to control the middle and create scoring opportunities.

Charlotte Madigan, Cold Spring Harbor, GK, Sr.: The SUNY Cortland commit is the backbone of the Seahawks' defense. She made 180 saves and had 11 games with double-digit stops, according to coach Ryan Towers.

Shea Mangan, Massapequa, M, Soph.: She initiates the offense in the midfield for Massapequa. She has great field vision, and her soccer IQ allows her to find teammates in transition.

Sara Mangels, Longwood, D, Sr.: The dual-sport athlete is one of the fastest center backs in Suffolk County and is the backbone of Longwood's defense. Her elite speed, high soccer IQ, and ball-handling skills make her one of the toughest defenders in the county.

Samantha Maurino, St. Anthony’s, M, Sr.: Coach Scott Carey praised the senior for her dominant presence on the field. Her technical ability and vision allow her to create an elite offense for the Friars.

Katori Martin, South Side, M, Sr.: Her speed and two-way ability were a vital piece in the Cyclones’ Nassau Class AA title run.

Mia McCormack, Bayport-Blue Point, D, Sr.: She is a versatile defender who contributed offensively with six goals and three assists.

Madeline McMurray, Oceanside, D, Sr.: The Scranton commit helped secure eight shutouts last season. She is an elite defender who is a pivotal piece to Oceanside’s defense.

Breanna Mender, Commack, F, Jr.: The Newsday first-team All-Long Island selection was one of Suffolk’s best scorers with 23 goals and 13 assists. She was a key piece in the Cougars winning their first state championship.

Leah Mendolia, Bay Shore, M, Sr.: Her explosiveness and quick first step allow her to get past any defender. She had 13 goals and three assists.

Brook Milheiser, North Babylon, F, Jr.: She has a great feel for the game and great field vision. She led Long Island in assists with 18 and added eight goals.

Avery Minsky, Roslyn, F, Sr.: She led Nassau in goals with 27 and points with 29. She has the ability to shoot from distance anywhere on the field.

Emma Muccioli, Babylon, M, Sr.: She does it all for the Panthers, dominating in the midfield with her ability to move the ball in transition and create scoring opportunities for her teammates. She will take a larger role offensively.

Ella Murray, Oceanside, GK, Sr.: She is the backbone of Oceanside’s defense. She had eight shutouts and 65 saves.

Jenna Obloj, West Islip, M, Sr.: The four-year varsity starter has the ball control and soccer IQ to control the midfield. She had eight goals and five assists.

Madeleine Patrickakos, Garden City, D, Sr.: She anchors the Trojans' defense. She has great vision and consistently initiates the offense with accurate passing out of the back.

Esly Peraza, Brentwood, M, Fr.: She scored 11 goals and had three assists. She is fast and she commands attention in the midfield. Her quickness allows her to get past defenders and create scoring opportunities.

Gabriella Perna, Carey, M, Sr.: She had five goals and seven assists. Perna is committed to Queens College.

Brooke Pfeiffer, Longwood, F, Jr.: Her combination of elite speed and shot-making ability is going to be the difference-maker for the Lions. She scored 18 goals and had four assists. She tied the single-season scoring record for Longwood.

Tatiana Pinto, St. Anthony’s, M/F, Sr.: She scored five goals and had an assist. She is going to take a larger role in the offense for the defending NSCHSAA champions.

Giuliana Portaro, Glen Cove, M, Soph.: She had 17 goals and six assists, despite double and triple coverage.

Carly Pulcini, Commack, M, Sr.: She can make a play with either foot. Her footwork and ball control will enhance the Cougars' offense.

Ashley Puliafico, Bethpage, Fr.: She scored 14 goals and had five assists.

Olivia Ramirez, Lynbrook, M/F, Sr.: Her speed and athleticism make her a threat for defenses. She has great field vision and soccer IQ and knows how to get her teammates involved.

Madison Reedy, Carle Place, M, Sr.: Her athleticism and versatility make her a threat anywhere on the field. She will be a focal point of the offense for the Frogs.

Maria Rodriguez Alvarado, Westbury, D, Sr.: She has prevented countless goals and scoring opportunities. Her soccer IQ and athleticism allow her to be the anchor of the Dragons' defense.

Alexandra Rossen, Cold Spring Harbor, F, Soph.: She missed last season due to injury, but she is looking to make a comeback and be the engine to the Seahawks' offense. Rossen can finish with both feet and has great technical ability.

Eloise Rubinstein, Port Washington, M, Sr.: The Vanderbilt commit is going to have a big impact for the Vikings after missing last season due to injury. She was a Newsday All-Long Island selection as a sophomore with 12 goals and six assists. Her versatility and attacking ability make her a constant threat.

Riley Shalom, Port Washington, M, Sr.: Her quick footwork allows her to beat any defender and contribute to Port Washington’s offense. She is committed to Emory.

Gabriella Simonian, Plainview-Old Bethpage JFK, M, Jr.: The St. John’s commit had five goals and 12 assists. Her quickness and skill on the ball is going to be key for the Hawks' success.

Riley Stovall, Seaford, M/D, Jr.: The Sacred Heart commit has great ball-handling skills.

Grace Taormina, Calhoun, D/M, Sr.: Coach Jason Elias referred to her as a legacy player.

Payten Tidridge, East Islip, M, Sr.: She has great footwork and great technical ability. She had 11 assists.

Joelle Trenka, Lindenhurst, M, Sr.: The Binghamton commit is a dynamic scorer who finished with 17 goals and nine assists. .

Maiya Troll, Sayville, M, Sr.: She is a true playmaker. She has excellent vision and can score with either foot. Her speed and agility make her a threat against any defense.

Raquelle Vainroob, Lynbrook, GK, Jr.: She allowed 15 goals in 15 games, recording 137 saves. She’s vocal and has a high soccer IQ.

Shealyn Varbero, Shoreham-Wading River, M, Sr.: She can break down a defense with her soccer IQ and exceptional vision that allows her to get her teammates involved. She is an offensive threat who can score from distance.

Christina Vargas, Floral Park, M, Sr.: The Florida Gulf Coast commit has elite footwork and strong technical ability. She is able to create for herself and her teammates.

Giuliana Viggiano, Seaford, F, Jr.: She has a knack for getting the ball in the back of the net and creating opportunities to score.

Sydney Villalta, North Babylon, D, Sr.: The Queens College commit is a versatile defender who anchors the Bulldogs' defense. Her combination of speed and toughness allows her to guard the opposing team’s top scorer.

Gianna Visone, Oceanside, M, Sr.: The three-year varsity starter scored six goals and had four assists. Her speed allows her to get past any defender.

Kyla Walling, Comsewogue, M, Soph.: The two-year starter controls the midfield and makes passes no one else can see. She has a knack for getting the ball in the back of the net.

Finnley Wickard, Northport, M, Sr.: She has great footwork and elite technical ability. She can make shots from a distance and beat a defender in one-on-one situations.

Mary Woodstock, Oyster Bay, F, Jr.: Her speed makes it hard for defenders to guard her. She scored 17 goals and had four assists in Oyster Bay’s undefeated regular season.

Alexa Yacono, Sayville, D, Jr.: She anchors the Golden Flashes' defense. Her athleticism and speed make it difficult for any player to get past her.

Allison Younghans, Plainedge, M, Sr.: She can do it all offensively, whether it's scoring or making the right pass. The Siena commit had five goals and 10 assists.

Ashley Zeifman, Wheatley, M, Sr.: She is one of the top strikers in Nassau County. She’s one of the hardest players to guard when she’s dribbling down the field.
