All stats and records are through Jan. 25:
1. Chaminade (17-1)
The Flyers have won 14 straight games, dominating the CHSHL along with key non-league wins. Forwards Jack Petrone and Michael Johnson lead an explosive offense. Nate Pitman has been more than steady in net.
“It’s the senior leadership and their desire to win what will be their last game,” Chaminade coach Keith Macias said. “I’ve got to give a shoutout to Jack Petrone. He’s finding Michael Johnson on all these goals — they’ve been terrific. I have seven defensemen that would be a one or two on other teams. It’s a blessing, as well as having Nate Pitman, who has been playing above a high school level.”
2. Smithtown/Hauppauge (17-2)
The Bulls’ offense is deep and dynamic, leading Long Island with eight goals per game. Jacob Caradonna and Jack Pring are both excellent between the pipes. Smithtown/Hauppauge has won seven straight games.
3. Bellmore-Merrick (12-1-1)
The defending Long Island champions continue to roll. Jourdan Luskoff leads Nassau Conference I with 25 goals in only 14 games. The Bulldogs have outscored opponents 97-24.
“It’s about the way we play,” Bellmore-Merrick coach Pat Braglia said. “It’s our structure, and guys are committed to playing the same way. Everyone’s on the same page. Last year we had 13 seniors, so this group has come together and meshed well. They enjoy being around each other — that’s a huge part.”
4. St. Anthony’s (15-2-1)
The Friars boast a high-powered offense led by seniors Thomas Azzariti, Anthony Cutalo and Zach Sirel. Goalie Jordan Valcich has been reliable in net. St. Anthony’s faces Smithtown/Hauppauge on Wednesday.
5. Long Beach (12-2-1)
The Marines handed Bellmore-Merrick its lone loss of the season on Jan. 9 and have won eight straight games. Liam Young is one of the county’s top players for one of Long Island’s hottest teams.
6. Sachem (15-4)
One of the Island’s most explosive scoring units, Sachem is averaging just under eight goals per game. Cameron Kalberer has scored 28 goals, the most in Suffolk. Sachem defeated St. Anthony’s on Jan. 5 and has not lost since.
7. East Islip (14-5)
Evan Lafata is one of the county’s premier scorers with 24 goals. East Islip’s depth makes it a tough No. 4 seed heading into the playoffs.
“We usually have three solid lines we can run,” coach Chris Reinhart said. “It makes a big difference. Our depth is what can set us apart in the playoffs, and if we play together, good things happen.”
8. Syosset/Jericho (9-4-1)
Defenseman Asher DePierro and goalie Nicholas Summa anchor a strong back end. Aidan Cleary leads the team with 22 points. Syosset/Jericho faces Bellmore-Merrick on Wednesday.
9. Northport/Huntington (10-7-1)
The team has registered key wins over Smithtown/Hauppauge and East Islip. J.T. Caruso has 19 goals and 15 assists. Justin Cahn and Lucas Serrino provide additional scoring threats for a dangerous No. 5 seed heading into the playoffs.
10. Manhasset/Great Neck/Port Washington (8-5)
It has allowed the second-fewest goals in Nassau. Goalie William Sylvia is a difference-maker in net. The group is balanced offensively and has played Syosset/Jericho, Bellmore-Merrick and Long Beach to one-goal games.
