BASEBALL

Teagan Cardona, Mepham: He hit two home runs, including a grand slam, in a 9-4 win over Garden City.

Connor Kenefick, West Islip: He struck out 13 and allowed three hits and three unearned runs in a 4-3 win over Half Hollow Hills East.

Koki Maezawa, Port Washington: He allowed two earned runs striking out seven in nine innings in a 4-3 win over Syosset. He also hit a home run.

Robbie Mascia, Commack: He went 2-for-3 with two solo home runs, a walk and three runs in a 3-2 first-round win over Sachem East. He added a solo homer and a walk in a 2-0 win over top-seeded Longwood.

Brady McGowan, Eastport-South Manor: He hit a tying two-run home run in the fifth inning and scored the winning run on an error with two outs in the bottom of the seventh in a 3-2 win over Northport. He was 2-for-3.

Matt Muzikant, Long Island Lutheran: He fired a three-hitter, struck out eight and hit one batter in an 11-2 win over Horace Mann to win the school’s first state title. He also threw two perfect innings to earn the win in a semifinal victory over Fieldston.

Matt Sheps, Port Washington: He hit a walk-off double in the bottom of the ninth inning for a 4-3 win over Syosset.

Joe Strining, Sayville: He went 3-for-4 with a home run, triple and a double in a 4-3 win over Bayport-Blue Point. He scored the go-ahead run on Aidan Devane’s single in the bottom of the sixth.

Tommy Terravecchia, Wantagh: He tossed a one-hit shutout in a 14-0 win over Seaford. He struck out five.

Jaxson Torres, Plainedge: He went 2-for-3 with a home run in a 5-0 win over North Shore. He also struck out 14 and allowed two hits for the win.

Ethan Williams, Hauppauge: The centerfielder had a key hit in a three-run sixth inning that gave the Eagles a 4-3 lead in a win over Northport. His Willie Mays-type catch on a long drive to right-center and subsequent throw to second base to double off a runner in the seventh preserved the victory.

Derek Yormack, Bellmore JFK: He pitched 5 2/3 innings and struck out 10 in a 5-2 win over Clarke.

SOFTBALL

Cali Addeo, Islip: She went 3-for-4 with four RBIs and hit a walk-off RBI single in the seventh inning of a 6-5 win over Bayport-Blue Point.

Brianna Almanzar, MacArthur: She had two hits and three RBIs in a 7-2 victory over Mepham. She tripled and had two RBIs in an 11-2 win over the Pirates.

Taylor Aschettino and Phoebe Graham, Rocky Point: Aschettino had a homer and three runs and Graham went 3-for-4 with a homer in a 19-7 win over Shoreham-Wading River.

Avery Betancourt, Mepham: She went 3-for-3 with a double, two RBIs and two runs in an 8-4 win over MacArthur.

Katie Burke and Addison Celi, Westhampton: Burke was 5-for-5 with a homer, double, four RBIs and four runs and Celi was 2-for-3 with a homer, three RBIs and two runs in a win over East Hampton.

Sienna Erker and Maeve Schiereck, Massapequa: Erker hit two home runs and drove in four runs and Shiereck went 3-for-3 with two homers in a 9-3 victory over Syosset.

Shannon Gloeckner, Northport: She threw a no-hitter with 10 strikeouts and two walks in a 5-0 win over Whitman. She tossed a one-hitter and struck out 11 in a 6-0 win over Comsewogue/Port Jefferson.

Kiki Napolitano, Comsewogue/Port Jefferson: She went 3-for-4 with a homer, four RBIs and three runs in an 11-4 win over Riverhead.

Sophia Nicastro, Calhoun: Nicastro tossed a no-hitter with 11 strikeouts in a 5-0 win over Bethpage. She struck out 13 and went 3-for-4 with an RBI in a 6-3 win over the Golden Eagles.

Emily Polarolo, Wantagh: She went 2-for-4 with two home runs and five RBIs in a 14-3 win over Mineola.

Amanda Vaccaro, Longwood: She struck out nine in a complete game and went 2-for-3 with a home run and a double in a 6-5 win over Comsewogue/Port Jefferson.
