Steve Matthews' Aqueduct selections for Saturday, Jan. 31
Best bet: OURDAYDREAMINGGIRL (6)
Best value: DID IT DIALED (5)
FIRST: Queen Sally is sitting on forward move after non-stressful fourth in last. Factory Setting fits Chad Brown's signature pattern; price won't be on your side, however. Raynham Hall makes first dirt start for Rudy Rodriguez; don't ignore.
SECOND: Victory Way is fresh and should be favorably positioned in compact field. Maximus Meridius was a top-figured winner in last at Parx; bounces today? Be You could impact if pace meltdown ensues.
THIRD: Gypsy Dreaming was a front-running maiden winner in last; takes another. Lean Music Machine fired 3-furlong bullet after regressing in last; dangerous. Come Full Circle could impact at fat ticket if top selection wilts.
FOURTH: Two Bits was a clear-cut second to a much-the-best winner in last; turnback to 7 furlongs seals the deal. Interstatelovesong, a wire-to-wire winner in last, could play out as the main speed once again. Shilling also is fleet-footed and outworked 129 rivals in half-mile bullet last week; very playable.
FIFTH: Did It Dialed is training sharply for first local start; primed for big effort. Turn and Count tallied fast late-pace figure when disqualified from top spot last out; dangerous. Complex Agenda, an uncoupled barn mate of second selection, owns speed and fast numbers; right in the thick of this.
SIXTH: Ourdaydreaminggirl fired two 5-furlong bullets since improved third in last; more to come. Bernietakescharge owns speed and razor-sharp current form; big-time threat. Scalable could be in the garden spot if pace meltdown ensues.
SEVENTH: Moe Eighty Eight tallied sizzling final fraction when winning second in row last out; keeps on giving. Prince Valiant could play out as the dominant speed with aggressive handling. Trust Fund makes third start of form cycle; don't dismiss.
EIGHTH: Whittington Park is rested and packs potent late kick on "A" efforts. Georgia Magic owns speed and could prove tough on soft lead; 5-furlong bullet last week adds to appeal. Waitlist, from the white-hot Linda Rice barn, was done in by wide trip in last; don't ignore.
NINTH: Mailata is fleet-footed and riding a three-race winning streak; more to come. Schoolyardsuperman, from Chad Brown stable, has the benefit of the rail; could easily take this. Grittiness packs solid late kick on best efforts.
10TH: Skylander gets class relief after making forward move in last; more to give. Aleah Aleah is speedy and could prove very tough on a soft lead. Run Happy Pappy runs late and could be aided by stretch to mile. Mister Holden has won four of last five and fired half-mile bullet for first NYRA outing; must be factored into the mix.
