TAMPA, Fla. — Barry Bonds, baseball’s tainted all-time home run king, will be part of the broadcast crew when the Yankees open the 2026 season on Netflix in San Francisco on Wednesday night.
Bonds will be an analyst on Netflix’s pre- and postgame shows, the streamer announced on Thursday. He will be joined by Albert Pujols, former Yankee Anthony Rizzo and host Elle Duncan.
The Yankees-Giants game will be called by Matt Vasgersian, former Yankees pitcher CC Sabathia and Hunter Pence.
Netflix announced that Bonds will be part of the other two events it is broadcasting this season: the Home Run Derby on July 13 and the “MLB at Field of Dreams” game between the Twins and Phillies on Aug. 13.
Bonds hit 762 home runs, the most in MLB history, but has not been voted into the Hall of Fame because of the persistent belief that he used performance-enhancing drugs during his career. Bonds denied it.
