Summer party guide: Top spots in Patchogue

If you are looking to party this summer, Patchogue IS the place to be.
The festive atmosphere is clear when you walk down the street in the afternoon or evening, as live music seeps from open storefronts and can be heard from Main Street and Ocean Avenue.
Catch patrons from near and far sipping frozen cocktails at waterside eateries, cruising the Patchogue River on a party boat or dancing the night away at the area bars.
This season, partygoers can look forward to revamped and fresh experiences like Boardy Barn Sundays at Blue Point Brewing Company and the first season of The Sandbar, the newest waterfront restaurant in town.
Whether seeking a night of DJ sets and dancing or drinks with a view, here are all the spots to hit in this vibrant village:
ALONG THE PATCHOGUE RIVER
Dublin Deck

This summer hot spot has been refreshed with decor upgrades including waterfalls and three fire pits with river views.
THE FUN Open daily, Monday nights feature DJ Casey Wayne spinning country music starting at 6 p.m. Tuesdays host a "Parrothead Party" with live Jimmy Buffett -style music, followed by a Wednesday bash with another country night starting at 6 p.m. Thursday night is a DJ dance party with drink specials for ladies. Fridays showcase the newest event called "Fitness Friday," which grants anyone with proof of a gym membership free admission to a night with both DJs and live dance music bands. Saturday nights are also dance-powered with beats by DJ Salty Jim. Sundays kick off with brunch, followed by DJ Joey I. at 1 p.m., and then bands play dance songs from 5 to 9 p.m.

The Sandbar

New for 2025, this location features a sand-filled courtyard that overlooks a stage where bands perform, allowing patrons to dance with a view of the river.
THE FUN Family- and dog-friendly, this multilevel space boasts a calendar of live music and DJ sets. The menu features seafood and American cuisine, along with a full bar that serves frozen drinks like margaritas and daiquiris.

The Better Man Distilling Company

The craft distillery features fire pits, outdoor seating and is dog-friendly in the outside area.
THE FUN Inside, guests can relax in the tasting room adorned with antique couches and a (nonfunctional) rotary phone in a booth at the back, which makes for a fun photo op. Open Thursday and Friday evenings, and Saturday and Sunday afternoons, the menu highlights shareable dishes like zucchini with vegan risotto, pizzas, falafel and shishito peppers. Guests can request tastings of the available spirits, or head to the venue's bottle shop where more in-depth tasting opportunities are offered.

Celebrating 25 years in operation, this restaurant and social spot is directly on the river, allowing water views to be seen from most areas of the venue.

A beachy shack located on a dock where the ferries travel to and from Fire Island features indoor and outdoor seating, allowing guests to soak up the sun while sipping a watermelon martini.
THE FUN Live music is scheduled daily, with reggae Sundays bringing the party. The spot hosts Happy Hour from Monday to Thursday, noon to 3 p.m., offering food and drink specials.

THE FUN The eatery hosts live music on Fridays and Saturdays at 6:30 p.m. and on Sundays at 4 p.m. It also features an outdoor gazebo bar that overlooks the water and is open from Thursdays through Sundays. June will see the return of its "Lobster Fest Mondays," while Tuesdays are designated as "Dock to Table Seafood Nights."

Those seeking an excursion can join a Paddle Pub boat cruise on the Patchogue River.
THE FUN The cruise features a captain, and guests sit and help power the vessel by pedaling. Passengers can bring their own beverages and control the music via a Bluetooth speaker. Prices are subject to change based on day of the week and time of the season, but the general rate is $59 per person weekdays, $69 on Fridays and Sundays and $79 on Saturdays.

The centerpiece of this spot is its indoor golf simulator, which also features a selection of arcade games like bowling and darts.
THE FUN There's a cornhole league on Mondays, and on Tuesdays, visitors can order one hour of virtual reality golf and get a second hour for free. On Wednesdays, it's half-off golf and draft beers at the bar, while Thursdays host live music from 7 to 10 p.m., and it's only $10 per person per hour for golf. On Fridays, there's live music from 8 to 10 p.m., followed by a DJ from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m., and on Saturdays, a DJ spins from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. On Sundays, guests can pay $25 per person per hour for golf and receive bottomless draft beer, spiked seltzer and well cocktails.

Patchogue Village’s Main Street festival takes place on four Thursdays this summer, with live music playing on five stages, 5 to 9 p.m. June 26, July 10, 31 and Aug. 14.
THE FUN Each fest will feature more than 100 food and craft vendors, expanded outdoor dining areas, a midway stage and family activities.

THE FUN Boardy Barn, originally in Hampton Bays, will host pop-up events at the brewery on June 1, July 6, and Aug. 3 and 31 from 2 to 8 p.m. Expect smiley face stickers, beer and chart-topping hits along with sing-along anthems by a DJ.

The Shands General Restaurant is the downstairs restaurant, while the State Room is an upstairs cocktail lounge with an event space known as The Loft.
THE FUN Come summer, the floor level opens its windows to the bustling street, and brunch is served every weekend. Fridays and Saturday nights tend to be the busiest when it comes to the social scene. The summer of 2025 will also see a series of wine dinners with Cutchogue's Bedell Cellars and Sagaponack's Wölffer Estate Vineyards; dates to be announced, and each can be booked via OpenTable.
