Grammy Award winner Lauryn Hill will make a fairly rare concert appearance next month in East Hampton.
Hill, 51, is performing July 25 at the Clubhouse Hamptons on Daniels Hole Road. Ticket prices range from $194.63 for general-admission standing room to just over $1,120 for ultra VIP tickets. The latter entries include picnic table seating, a parking pass and a post-show meet-and-greet with Hill. Concert doors open at 5 p.m. and the show is at 7.
Dubbed "Ms. Lauryn Hill: Acoustic," the show will take place on the venue’s lawn and resemble her acoustic 2002 MTV performance.
The last time she played a Long Island venue Feb. 15, 2020, in Westbury. Her Jones Beach Theater performance scheduled for September 2024 was canceled, reportedly due to low ticket sales.
Hill rose to fame as a teen actor and member of the Grammy-winning hip-hop group the Fugees. In 1998, she released her influential solo debut, "The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill" — widely considered to have popularized neo soul and broken barriers for women in hip-hop — which went on to win her five Grammys, including album of the year and best new artist.
